The Taleban on Monday condemned the massacre of its surrendered fighters in Mazar-e-Sharif and said those in the Northern Alliance who breached an agreement to prevent casualties would have to pay the price.
SADA news agency quoted Taleban's chief spokesman Syed Tayyab Agha as alleging: "The Taleban commanders in Kunduz had reached a peace agreement with Abdul Rashid Dostum (Northern Alliance commander) to avert casualties of civilians and troops of either side, but he breached the agreement by massacring hundreds of non-Afghans on the outskirts of Mazar-e-Sharif."
Agha, known as the closest aide of Taleban supreme leader Mullah Mohammed Omar, said in a wireless conversation from an unspecified location that the action prompted by the "foreign masters" of the Northern Alliance would bring nothing but chaos and anarchy to the Afghan society, which he claimed had been gradually stabilising under the Taleban rule.
He said despite the "hollow claims by the enemies of Islam", the southern provinces of Afghanistan were under the firm control of Taleban forces.
"If anybody has any doubts, he should come and see the ground reality in Afghanistan," the spokesman said.
He reiterated that the efforts being made outside Afghanistan to put together an alternative government in Kabul would not bring stability.
"The enemies have planned the destruction of Afghanistan, but their evil designs will not succeed. Sooner or later those relying on the enemies of Islam would realise their mistake and endorse the Taleban stance," he declared.

Afghan society...had been gradually stabilising under the Taleban rule. The question is the low level it stabilized at. It was repressive and dictitorial all the time. This clown wants credit for it being consistent.

And the part about "vowing revenge", I'm ROTFLMAO at them. They are simply a bunch of limp di**s who wet themselves in the face of real opposition and whose "religious" (if you can call it that) beliefs are tyrannical, murderous and barbaric. F' all these bastar*s. Let them jihad themselves into extinction.

This is so typical of their alligator mouth and humming bird a$$...................................Not to mention their worthless religious claims of dying a martyr to gain access to their 72 fake virgins. Seems when it comes time to walk the talk, they scream 'unfair', and condemnation. Of course, they'll use the lame excuse that they will be 'martyrs-with-virgins' only when it's of their OWN choosing. Which will highlight their hypocrisy even MORE.

I thought they wanted to fight to the death. Now that we gave them their wish, the Taliban is whining? Sheesh.

Not to worry. In a few more days the U.S. Marines, and Special Forces will be scraping the Talibastards off of their boot heels! If the Talibastards get revenge it will have to be from beyond the grave. Not likely!!

If the Talibastards get revenge it will have to be from beyond the grave. Not likely!! You're absolutely right that it's "not likely" as according to all press reports they only vowed to fight to the death....not beyond.

"If anybody has any doubts, he should come and see the ground reality in Afghanistan," the spokesman said. The recommended way of doing this is from a comfortable chair halfway around the globe, through the camera of a Predator combat drone.

"If anybody has any doubts, he should come and see the ground reality in Afghanistan," the spokesman said. Yes, Mr. Taliban, I was thinking of booking a tour, but do you have flush toilets and hot water showers in your caves?
