Hillary's "comments" in Time magazine
Posted on 11/26/2001 4:53:38 PM PST by rs79bm
We can start by including women in the rebuilding process in Afghanistan. And just as the Clinton Administration withheld recognition of the Taliban government and condemned its treatment of women, we must not recognize any successor government until women have the right to determine what role they will play in 21st century Afghanistan.
What! I never heard anything about this in the Clinton Admin. and I doubt it was ever brought up. Hillary (as always) is just trying to cover her ass. And that is a mighty BIGGGGGG undertaking I might add. Literally and figuratively.
Also in the article:
Thanks to the courage and bravery of America's military and our allies, hope is being restored to many women and families in much of Afghanistan. As we continue the hard work of rooting out the vestiges of Taliban control and al-Qaeda terrorism, we must begin the hard work of nurturing that newfound hope and planting the seeds of a governing system that will respect human rights and allow all the people of that nation to dream of a better life for their childrengirls and boys alike.
Hah, Hillary is thanking the Military that she and her husband (if you can call him that) despise heavily.
The whole article just sounds like more incoherent drivel from Hillary the "evil one".

Another liberal utopian idea, putting women in authority of one of the more chauvinistic anti-women countries on earth. Do they have any clue of what reality looks like?

This brings to mind something that a local politician would do: he would make the rounds at all the funerals in town; he would wait until most of the visitors had left and then go down the line of the family, pressing the flesh, and then leave. Once, during a tornado warning, I was in the basement of the local court house and he used that opportunity to press the flesh as well.
It's interesting how we are, only just now, hearing of these wonderful Clinton accomplishments.

No fair is fair. They condemned the Taliban - and soundly too. We don't need to invent the truth - it's bad enough as it is. And I really do hope that women are a central part of any planning process for the new Afghanistan. Otherwise...what was the point? No compromise I say. No half measures. No going back.

I wonder if the same person who wrote this for Livia Rodham was the same person to write Chelsea's article.

Hello! Twenty years ago in Afghanistan fifty per cent of all Afghani students were female and one third of their doctors and other high professionals (higher proportion than the USA by far). This is historically NOT a country where women have had no say. So don't let then tell you to tell women to take a back seat. No compromise. All the way. Go Laura.

I heard Chelsea was piloting the aircraft that dropped the first bomb on the taliban. Her Mom said so.

That's right. Every time the b/witch opens her yap, fecal material that was scheduled to depart from her exhaust pipe reverses course and spews out of her ugly cake hole! What a lying wretch!

In other words, she wants the women of Afghanistan to get more respect than her husband gave the women of America.

My theory is that Hillary got wind of the very warm and complimentary articles
Newsweek was doing on President and Mrs. Bush, and raced to get something in print.
There are three articles (posted last night) in the magazine. Yes THREE, and they are wonderful. Ha!
