Here is the full text --- CIA: Bin Laden got $700 million via Cyprus The least likely stronghold for Bin Laden is the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The country is actually an extension of secular Turkey. Turkey has 35,000 troops in the breakaway republic and finances Northern Cyprus. Bin Laden's entry in Northern Cyprus was little different from that of other areas. Al Qaida was first spotted in the country in 1992 when Bin Laden agents set up local banks for money-laundering. The funding is arranged through Bin Laden's brothers Hassan and Saleh, who help control three offshore companies. A classifed CIA report estimates that up to $700 million passed through Northern Cyprus from 1992 to 1998. The report said the money was meant for Bin Laden activities in Albania, Bosnia and Kosovo. U.S. officials have been trying to keep the story under wraps. But Congress which believes Bin Laden agents are also training on the island is fuming and some members are threatening a cutoff of funds for Ankara unless it drives Bin Laden agents out of Northern Cyprus immediately.

The funding is arranged through Bin Laden's brothers Hassan and Saleh, who help control three offshore companies. Does this not imply complicity by OBL's brothers?
When will they be arrested for "aiding and abetting?"
To: dhfnc
al Qeada is training on the island now??!!

Since Switzerland got all constipated, the Russian mafiya loves Cyprus too.

This really is breaking news. I'm fuming along with those members of congress. This really pisses me off. This is gonna cost Turkey. They need to pony up big time.

I never believed his family wasn't in this.

I knew there had to be a reason why the Turks were so willing to commit 250,000 troops to invade Iraq under our airpower.
To: codebreaker
I don't know if these are some of the family members who
were hustled out of the country right after 9/11 or not,
but it certainly seems like they have some 'splainin' to do!
