[history]
Laura Bush said more with her laugh, her glances and her gestures than she did with words last week during our interview with the First Lady and the president. My colleague Howard Fineman and I sat down with the First Couple on Air Force One the day before Thanksgiving for an hour. It was their first joint interview since September 11 and the first time I had ever tried to interview them together.

Why do we have to hear about Hillary Clinton in an article about First Lady Laura Bush??? Other than that, I thought this article was excellent.

This author is either ignorant and/or lazy. There is very little similarity between Mrs. Bush's statements and Hillary's positions at the Beijing Conference.

Senator Clinton still cares about the issueShe can care all she wants; it's Larua's now.

Truly, who wants to read about Hillary, but Hillary? It was during "their" administration that the Taliban came to power and stayed in power, the Clinton's never have done anything for anybody but themselves and those who would contribute to them.

I'm sure that Hillary Clinton is Brant's idol. Hillary did say something once about the plight of the Afghan women, ergo, she is just as good as Laura is. And the libs don't see anything wrong with making womens rights in Afghanistan the premier issue, but to them it is all about birth control, abortion, and getting rid of the burkas. To the Afghan women, it is being able to eat, not be beaten for walking outside without the requisite male escort, and not having their children die, plus living in a safe country.

And I am sure that Hillary is gnashing her teeth and tearing her hair out over the fact that Laura Bush is speaking out on this issue. And that makes me laugh, big time.

' because it put the Chinese on notice that their treatment of women (and girls, so often unwanted under Chinas one-baby policy) was on par with the treatment of dissidents.'
This made the Chinese quiver in their boots..
RIGHT! That's why the first felons gave them our atomic secrets. They really wanted to SHOW them that they meant business!

Yes, I thought about that, too. But it is interesting to see the contrast between the two in the article. Hillary comes off as she is - brash and always trumpeting herself using whatever vehicle is available to her - it's always about HER. Laura came off quite differently and I don't think the author of the article missed seeing the difference. Neither will we.

Mrs. Bush's interest in education for Afghani women (which is laudable) is a far cry from what Hillary and gang were interested in Beijing. For details, try this:

Why do we have to hear about Hillary Clinton in an article about First Lady Laura Bush??? Other than that, I thought this article was excellent.I have an idea: let's get the Feebies, with their new computer server software to block all references to the Clintons on the internet.(sarcasm)
I'm twisting the Lib's shorts, only because my family is tired of the Clinton's putting their ugly faces in the press.
W is the Pres. now, not Herr StainMaster. Laura Bush is the First Lady now (actually the First Lady since Barbara Bush left the White House).
The Clintons are wearing thin, like an old rubber-band. I'd just love to see them snap, and implode before a grand jury.
Maybe, just maybe, the presstitutes will friggin wake up, become loyal Americans, and report the news instead of making it up.
Regards

First Lady Laura Bush is a lady, a helpmeet, and a wonderful example of quiet dignity. We should all feel blessed!
