The I Want to Pay More Fund
The Imus Show | 12/5/01

Posted on 12/05/2001 5:42:10 AM PST by pabianice

On Imus this morning, the governor of Arkansas (Huckabee?) was in good form. He updated listeners on the status of the I Want to Pay More Fund. This is a fund started by Huckabee after Liberal liars bombarded him with demands that "everyone wants to pay more taxes for more social spending." To date, the fund has received: $ 215. He dryly noted that LIberals want to spend more of YOUR money, not theirs, and he said he is holding-off hiring extra people to open the mail coming into this fund.

What a bold, wonderful move to show the utter emptiness of Liberal demands.

Of course, Jennings, Browkaw, and Rather will never mention this on their evening Pravda broadcasts.

Guys, Ah-yup!! Smart to not hire extra people to open contributions coming into the fund too. Peace and love, George.

What a bold, wonderful move to show the utter emptiness of Liberal demands. Absolutly. Brilliant and simple as well. And at little or no cost to implement. It also shows just how lazy and/or stupid the republicans are. Immediately afterwards, every republican governor and the pubbies in the House Of R should have announced similar funds for their states and the federal gov't. This was a fastball down the middle and the pubbies struck out looking. Again.

Phil,

Sometimes Presidents can learn from Governors. I think that President Bush should set up a national "I Want to Pay More" Fund. Why not invite Gov. Huckabee on the Show to propose exactly that?

Concur, you will not hear one thing about this on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and the like.
You will hear of this perhaps on Fox, on Imus and on FR.
The major network bias is hideous and insulting.

I am delighted to see our Governor Mike Huckabee (R-Ark) continue to recieve more national notice on his "Tax Me More Fund!"

I noticed in the local fish wrap this morning that the democrat who made the most fun of Gov. Mike and the fund actually donated a whole one hundred dollars.
