Marijuana treatments prescribed for an 8-year-old Rocklin boy with a mental disorder will continue, his mother said Tuesday after a judge dismissed a petition that could have removed the child from her home.
"I can't believe it's finally over," the woman declared after a brief appearance before Judge Colleen Nichols in Placer Superior Court.

G-d bless this Judge for retaining enough of his common sense to rule in favor of this mother.

Seems reasonable to me.

Is she looking to adopt?

Common sense? Only in bizarro world. Though, California qualifies as bizarro.

Common sense? Only in bizarro world. Why, because the drug doesn't come from the big pharmaceutical companies at 10 bucks a pill?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Look at a list of the drugs legally prescribed:
Ritalin was the drug of choice in the beginning, the mother said, but when that seemed to worsen his condition, the doctors switched to others: Adderall, Carbamazepine, Clonazepam, Clonidine, Desmopressin, Depakote, Dexedrine, Guanfacine, Imipramine, Mellaril, Methylphenidate, Neurontin, Risperdal, Seroquel, Tennate, Thioridazine, Zoloft and Zyprexa.
Marijuana is safer, with fewer problems than any of the named drugs. The mother BTW IS following the law. Don't be a victim of government anti-drug propaganda.

Only in America do we spend millions telling people not to smoke cig's yet we allow a parent to give the kid pot...Oh I know pot don't cause lung cancer, tumors in the mouth ect..
To: Marlin4570
This kid is being dosed through muffins. Unless she makes him smoke the muffins, you're way off base.

I agree. Anyone who doubts the medical pluses of marijuana should light up a joint next time they get a cold, works everytime.

This is not a woman who used pot as a first choice as can be seen by the isnane amount of normal drugs she has tried. What would you turn to if you had given your son all of these meds and none of them worked or made his problems worse from the insane amount of side affects? This woman should be thanked many other weaker women would have thought of a way to push her problem on to someone else instead of dealing with it.

"This kid is being dosed through muffins."
If I were a doctor, I would love to use that phrase on a prescription for suppositories.

Muffinsthatgiveyoumunchiestoeatmoremuffinsthatgiveyou munchiestoeatmoremuffins =
a happy well adjusted 400 pounder.
Whatever works, though.
