Gays furious over lawmaker award Fault Rogers' stand on marriage, benefits By Rick Klein, Globe Staff, 12/10/2001 epresentative John H. Rogers is one of the premier power brokers on Beacon Hill, a loyal deputy of House Speaker Thomas M. Finneran who controls the purse strings of state government as chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. So it's little surprise that the Massachusetts Bar Association, a lawyers group that seeks warm relations with State House leaders, would set out to honor Rogers with its ''Legislator of the Year'' award at its annual dinner next month.

It's no surprise that a Globe reporter slants the news this way..

I spoke with the congressmans staff today, they were relieved that someone supported their position. There is hope for MA.

No reason to get snippy about it.

A must read for MA Freepers.

My gosh, a response from the loveliest woman on the FR.
To: bribriagain
Did I ever tell you that you live in my most favorite state? There are two houses on Marblehead Neck that I am just dying for.
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
I've always wondered about the term "snippy". Please elaborate.
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
Well, let me tell you, having lived half, no three quarter my life in this liberal state, I have come to several conclusions.
To: bribriagain
Who cares if the Gays are upset? Since their life expectancy is so short (42 years on average) the law suits will outlive them. Natures way of fulfilling natural selection.
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
And those two houses would be?

Well there's a principle involved here. When I contacted the Reps office, I was informed that MA has no law preventing the marriage of a brother and sister, man and dog, etc.
To: bribriagain
Oh no!! One was just sold. I am totally heartbroken. Here's the one that is left. It needs to be mine. It needs me.

If it irritates gays, it is generally ok with me!!
To: bribriagain
What conclusions have you come to?
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
So, which of the above applies?
To: Hillary's Lovely Legs
You're far to intelligent to be labeled.
