President Bush and First Lady Laura marked the three month anniversary of the WTC and Pentagon attacks with the playing of the National Anthem this morning at 8:46am, the moment when the first plane struck the WTC. Later in the day, the President gave a rousing speech to the cadets at the Citadel, where he vowed will will never forget, and we will win. And as if this day wasn't historic enough, it was one year ago today the the Supreme Court ruled that recounts in Florida were unconstitutional, and proved that George W. Bush was destined to be our President.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: In time, this war will end. But our remembrance never will. All around this beautiful city are statues of our heroes, memorials, museums and archives that preserve our national experience, our achievements and our failures, our defeats and our victories.
This photo is from September 11th, the exact moment Andrew Card told the President that a second plane hit the WTC. No one should ever forget this day, nor forget this moment in time for our President. It not only changed our lives forever, but changed this man and our country forever too.

I just wanted to give a reminder to everyone that we please treat the President with the respect he deserves. Sure, we can praise him, love him, joke about him, etc. But I ask that we please not 'go there' when it comes to how the President sits. We all love our President greatly, and as such, he deserves to be treated with the respect he has earned. Now that doesn't mean that we can't drool in private... I'm just asking that we please keep things rated PG. Thank you, RWP.

OOH that photo in 2 is intense. I hate it that W has to be a war president because it is going to age him, but I believe that God will give him the stength for it.

And with W in the O.O. the Presidency has respect again. I'm glad he beat Al Gore.

The speech at Citadel was terrific, This man has a firm grasp of the situation and is in complete control. We are fortunate to have him leading us in this crisis

Thank you for your note at the beginning of tonight's dose. I read this almost every night and rarely post, but in the last few nights I too have been disappointed in some of the posts. We had 8 years of actions, language and deception that brought down the respect and honor of the office of President of the United States. We have a wonderful opportunity to rebuilt it, to make it the absolute envy of the world. President Bush is doing his part...let's do ours. Thank you rintense, for your work and for your reminder to show the respect we want others to have for this good man.
