Freakin' Unbelievable!!!!!!

One would hope that the FBI has a nice long conversation with Mr. Sosa inquiring as to how a group of unidentified men (terrorists) were able to enter the property and use the hospital's computers. Maybe they knew it would be alright with their friend, the administrator.

I would wager that getting fired from this hospital will sharply improve the finances of Ms. Luongo. And I must say, it will be nice to see this institution seperated from it's money in the lawsuit. How incredibly stupid of this so-called administrator. Firing this nurse for talking to the FBI was wholesale incompetence. He will also be at risk for being sued personally by Ms. Luongo. Man, what an idiot!!
To: Space Wrangler
This was probably more than incompetence. He was either worried about the fraud case or was actively aiding the terrorists.

Oh they're screwed alright. Any 3rd year law student could win this case. Let's look at what happened:
1. She met with the agents iside the hospital.
2. The administrator had a hissy fit, and made the FBI agents and the nurse leave.
3. After walking back inside, she was immediately fired.
Add to all of this the testimony of the FBI agents, the possible testimony of the supervisor (who was surely instructed to fire her, and given the reason why she was to do it), and the overall manner in the way she was terminated, the hospital hasn't got a chance. This is probably a county-owned hospital, because there is no way a fruitcake like Mr. Sosa could land a job in corporate America. These Mr. Sosa types tend to migrate towards county-owned hospitals because the Board of Directors usually possess a casual disinterest in the day to day management of the institution. After all, they get their check for serving on the board regardless of what happens. This would probably explain the fraud investigation as well.

O'R can be annoying at times, but he basically does the sort of job -- exposing abuses of power, etc. -- that the press is supposed to do, and the liberal press rarely does unless a conservative is the target.

Here's an interesting tidbit from a CNN story on the same thing:
The clinic's owner, Mohammed Ibrahim, an Egyptian, was deported by the Immigration and Naturalization Service in June.
Hmmm......
To: katana
They used computers where she worked previously, not at Ft.L. Hospital.
To: Righty1
From what I gather, the hospital and the place she saw the terrorists are two diffrent places.
I saw them on the grounds of Seawins (ph) Health Care Services down in Miami where I had worked previously.
Even if the guy was freaking out over the fraud case, it was still completely stupid for him to fire the nurse. Now, on top of the fraud investigation, he has an un-winnable lawsuit on his hands that is going to cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to settle. The nurse has the hospital dead to rights. They'll pay big to settle.

Perhaps the owner of the clinic advised the hijackers that they could use his computers. This woman is to be commended. Let's hope that she is quickly hired by a company with integrity and her lawsuit is filed promptly.

LUONGO: He said because they had guns on them. That was his reason why they should not be in the hospital. The administrator needs to move to Australia, this isn't a problem there...
She was doing her civic duty and she gets fired?

There seems to be little information about that Seawins place. You say a middle easterner owned it and has now been deported. "Hmmmmm" is right.
That sort of answers a question I've had about these guys just "coming in and using the computers." They obviously had some connections to Seawins. But NOTHING about this in the news. Is ANYONE making the connection? (FBI, INS, CIA)
To: wwjdn
That was just his excuse. I'm sure like any other hospital, there are cops in and out of the ER every single day. This administrator was apparantly in the process of being investigated for fraud, and thought maybe the nurse was providing info (?). Who knows what his true motives were, but one thing is for sure, he cost his hospital a VERY large sum of money by doing it.

Why are so many hospital administrators jerks?
Seems like every time I hear about one of them, it's for something along this line.
To: Space Wrangler
there is no way a fruitcake like Mr. Sosa could land a job in corporate AmericaHaving worked at both public and private hospitals, I don't really see a dime's bit of difference in the quality of their administrators.
Reminds me of a story...
A doctor is walking along the beach, and he comes across two people buried up to their necks in sand - Osama bin Ladin and a hospital administrator.
Q: Which head does he kick first?
A: Osama bin Ladin. Business before pleasure.
To: wwjdn
is not law enforcement allowed to to carry guns? Where (What locations) is it against the law for law enforcement to carry guns?
