House and Garden TV had a nice presentation of the Christmas decorations in the White House. First lady Laura Bush and Joy Philbin gave a detailed presentation of the 3 day process.

There were three special decoration themes. The first was ornaments representing houses from various parts of the country prepared by artists from each of the States. A second was a massive gingerbread White House circa 1800 prepared in house by the pastry chef. It weighed 150 pounds. and finally, there were scale replicas of various presidential homes decorated for Christmas. There was Mount Vernon, Monticello and Montpelier.

Laura Bush was very gracious in her comliments to all involved in the magical creation.

Maybe it was too hard to make a replica of a brothel.

They never had a home....still don't, really....not a real "home" full of love. Lots of lamps to throw, though.

Great pic of the Prez and the First Lady. Laura has great taste in clothes--her outfit sparkles and so does her personality.
