I don't think this is new - it's just reported more. I went to 4 high schools in 3 years - all excellent college-prep schools - and in every school there were male teachers having sex with female students - lots of them. The teachers knew but never said a word. The girls were very proud of having a 'love affair' with the middle-aged but very attractive math teacher. The love affair lasted about two weeks.

The difference now is that these reports are about female teachers and male students.

Well according to Merriam Webster sodomy means either sex with a person of the same sex (or with an animal) or oral or anal. I'm assuming that she didn't do the later so its oral.
My point is that there a lot of laws on the books that can be used against normal law abiding citizens. The government only enforces them if you anger it.

I wonder if the boys complained. Or were bragging about it.

There was an article in a recent Atlantic Monthly about male college profs having sex with their female students. People wrote in to defend the practice. I have half a mind to write in and say "if it wasn't for the sex with female students you wouldn't have male liberal arts profs"

Well, excuse me, but I do not consider a male at the age of 16 to be a kid anymore and I definitely do not consider a 25 year old woman who makes love with a male that age to be a pedophile.

Sorry. I don't consider those guys to be anything less than lucky. I definitely know that I would have said yes if a woman in her 20s expressed an interested in me at that age.

And where were these teachers when I was in school? We just had Ms. vanBlanketburger the 60 year old woman with the uniboob. Kids have it too easy these days.

Would you feel the same way if the teacher had been a gay male? Or if the student was female? Probably not. But since the student was male then somehow that makes it okay to you. That screams of moral laissez faire relativism.

I didn't say kid. I said youth. What benefit was there to sexualizing this youth? Was it more important than developing his mind and spirit? I guess to some people learning how to get your rocks off is more important than developing a functioning conscience and expanding the mind.
