The big question is what to do with this guy now. If he has renounced his citizenship (he studied in Yemen or Qatar I believe) then he will be tried in an international court. If he still has his citizenship, he can be tried for treason. The citizenship aspect would make a big impact on the outcome of this.

If I'm not mistaken, I think at UCLA/Berkley you can take "Training To Be A Terrorist" as one of your humanities electives for 3 credits, say in place of American History.
