Well you can count on them to research it, syntheticize it, patent it, slap a huge price tag on it, prescribe it to millions of cancer patients who will find only marginal relief because you can't go getting rid of cancer with all this funding and insurance money available, now can you?
Oh, forgot the "outlawing myrrh because it's so poisonous" step.

And thanks a lot for the gold and frankincense but...don't worry too much about the myrrh next time. Thank you...Goodbye.Guess Brian's mother Mandy was wrong about this too.

Myrrh's also excellent as a 'healer' for skin disorders. I found it to be more effective than the 1" $60.00 tubes of antibiotic ointments.

Try and work "furanosesquiterpenoid" into a Christmas carol.
To: pa_dweller
furanosesquiterpenoidIs that a variant of "fahrvergnugen"?
To: pa_dweller
3,000 years and the FDA still can't approve it!!

What are you doing creeping around in cow patties at 2 in the morning. Doesn't seem that wise to me!!

I don't know about the rosacea....but it helps acne. The skin disorder we used it for was, 'thrush'. Babies usually get it. But they ALSO get it if they have oral antibiotics, and it'll show up in their diaper area, PLUS every skin fold on their little bodies. BTW... it did wonders on poison ivy a friend had.
Most folks think it's strange to go 'herbal'. But I figure God grew the healing stuff BEFORE 'man' figured out how to synthesize it. Cheaper too, to 'pick' His 'stuff'.
You have a blessed night! Gotta run....I'm running bucket brigade for a saturated basement!

I use it as a disinfectant. A little bit in cleaning water makes the house smell wonderful and gets rid of all kinds of bacteria.

I don't know about medicinal properties, but I made some soap with frankincense and myrrh and it smells wonderful. It is exotic and familiar at the same time.

Where do you buy it, and what form does it come in?
To: Tuscaloosa Goldfinch
I think GNC would carry it. Or any place like that. It comes in powder form. Maybe nowadays it has OTHER forms. You can either 'cap it up', (put the powder into gelatin caps) or make a solution, like tea. As with any herbs, don't 'brew' it in metal pans. Use ones that are porcelain coated.
If you're looking for another goodie, try 'olive leaf extract'. That can be bought at GNC. Costs about 18.00, but it is worth it.

Try and work "furanosesquiterpenoid" into a Christmas carol. Here it is.
On the fourth day of Christmas
My True Love gave to me
Four noses quite (urp!) annoyed.
Three whatevers and so on.
Your turn!

Thanks to all. I never knew myrrh had such myriad uses!
