California Democrat and longtime anti-gun advocate U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein announced today she plans to introduce legislation that would bring the nation in line with her home state's stringent laws regarding gun sales and background checks. Feinstein said she will introduce legislation early next year that would require background checks for all gun sales, whether they occur at a licensed dealer, flea market, gun show or between private individuals.
The federal law would mirror current California law, which requires all gun purchases and transfers, including those between private parties and at gun shows, be made through a licensed dealer, according to California Attorney General Bill Lockyer's office. Feinstein made her announcement today on Capitol Hill in conjunction with the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence's release of new report outlining the connection between terrorism and the firearm availability in the United States.
"I intend to hold a hearing in the Judiciary Subcommittee on Terrorism, Technology and Government Information early next year on this report which ... shows it is very easy for terrorists to purchase firearms in this nation,'' Feinstein said.
"We already know that children can buy guns all too easily in order to kill other children. We know that gang members and criminals can do the same,'' Feinstein said. "Clearly, the time has come for a universal background check on all gun sales. ...''
Feinstein said she believes U.S. citizens, including members of the National Rifle Association, would support universal background checks.
Sure, another stupid unconstitutional law that criminals will disobey. That sure makes sense, idiot Feinswine. This woman is the most inept, corrupt, assinine disgrace to the US Senate. And considering who else warms a chair in that once august body, that's saying a lot. I have nothing but contempt for this 'thing'. It is clear that NONE of California's gun laws have prevented gun violence; so just how the hell does she think that "more of the same" on a national level will be any more effective? These people must take us for fools; either that,or Feinswine and the Brady Boob have some other reason for this nonsense - like an eventual total ban on private possession of arms, maybe? Followed by an ill-fated attempt to confiscate all guns leading to Civil War II? Damn contemptible tyrants. The more I hear from these squeaking little fascists, the more I understand the words of Patrick Henry and the other firebrands of the First American Revolution. These 'senators' are insane.
She's like, eleventy-million years old, right?
I think Alzheimers is setting in.
.
Feinstein is just another fascist, in company with the rest of the Democrat Party. Their fear is that they can not control the population with their police powers. They believe that they are not temporarily in power; the State is their faith, and they are the "chosen" people.
Senate Plurality Leader Tom Daschle is leading the power play charge, but the same corrupt fascists who fell lock-step with the criminal Clintonazis remain dangerous to our Constitution.
They are domestic enemies so specified in our sworn oaths. We are their enemies and they must try to disarm us. Their laws will threaten us with being defined criminal in Newspeak, ignoring our rights affirmed by our Constition. They will try and try and try again until they control all three branches of government at the same time. Regulate and rule, disobey them under penalty of law. Fascist socialism is the Democrat Party goal, with their elite in control. They want your name on their lists. Their destruction of our Constitutional government is well under way.
The laws in Ms Feinswine's state have been singularly unsuccessful. Why would they work on a national scale?
Facists are what Facists are ...
By outlawing all planes over 30 feet long, this would stop future terrorist attacks using long planes.
