Detroit - Where the weak are killed...and eaten.

And look at West Palm Beach. Worse than DC and Compton.

Don't know; the cut off seems to be 75,000 population. I would think that Honolulu and Anchorage top that.

The Mat-Su Borough, Alaska has 58,000 people in it, getting somewhat crowded. Course its the land size of West Virginia.

Everyone has guns in their trucks but for some reason I feel quite safe & content.

Dang! My city, Simi Valley, dropped from number 1 last year to number 3 this year (for cities of population 100,000 and greater). We had a mother who killed 3 of her 4 kids, and that hurt us the way they score these things.

I always like the comment by the radio show host Ken Hamblin "The Black Avenger":
"I did my tour of duty in Detroit"

(IIRC, Hamblin did a hitch in the Army, but did a civilian job in the mess
called Detroit for a few years as well.)

This evaluation has to be slightly whacked. We've had like 3 murders in 10 years here in Sioux Falls. Short of mass distribution of prozac, I can't think of any way to make it safer. I live in one of the lowest rent areas of town and I haven't locked my car in eons.

Detroit is hopeless....In some areas its downright scary. In fact there are entire blocks of houses that are infested with the homeless and drug addicts.

What a farce. I was attacked in Amherst. It was mid-summer and the first cart of fall stuff was just coming out of the store room at T.J. Maxx. Six determined women shoved me right into the bathing suit rack and rushed past. It almost broke my concentration.

Kewl; I moved to Cary from NJ; nothing much happens here (compared to the six - seven NJ cities that made this hall of shame list.)

Only real danger here in Cary is getting run over by all the Range Rovers headed to kiddy soccer practice.
