Thanks as always.

Re: the perp who was on the Paris - Miami flight. Looks like trying to be a terrorist on an American flight these days can be dangerous. It looks like it can put your eye out.

Thank you, Dio. You've posted all sorts of photos in this series of yours and, for some reason, these today have particularly moved me. God bless these people, they've suffered greatly, and bless our soldiers, heroes all, and bless you for doing this.

Diogenesis, thanks for doing the "yeoman's work" with another great posting in
this holiday season. Having some "great bandwidth" at this time is a real uplift for
many of us.

Now, I will editorialize a bit about yesterday's American Airline event.
American Airlines Flight 63 has a reportedly Sri Lankan man starting to set off an explosive in his plastique-filled shoe on the flight from Paris to Miami.

Dear American Airlines,
Take some of your money out of the bank (or use some of the $15 Billion Congressional
BailOut) to BUY A FREAKIN' CLUE, YOU MORONS!!!

Now, I am venting and may go a bit over the top...but AA has just about exhausted all
my sympathyies and patronage since 9-11.
All the stories about no real alarm bells going off about the events leading up to 9-11,
e.g., the news report that one of the AA line-workers (at the direction of a supervisor)
gave The Talented Mr. Atta a free pass...basically rushing him onto his last plane
flight when he arrived late and gave a "no speaka' da' English" response to some of the
line worker's question.
(I saw that article ONCE here on freerepublic.com, so I admit it may have been "tabloid trash",
but the way things have gone with AA afterwards have just left me cold.)
Then AA loses a plane that breaks up in "wake turbulence" that many aviation
experts say just can't be responsible for such a thing happening.
Now, I find out that AA lets a guy aboard that, if today's news reports are even
partly right,
1.purchased a one-way ticket
2.had tried to board the day before, but had been turned away
3.had no luggage for a trans-atlantic trip (wonder how many passengers do that)
4. and a questionable three-week-old passport.

Until AA gets their act together...I ain't flyin', despite the convenience of
the direct flights from LAX to DFW.
I'll fly one of your competitors, even if it costs more and I've got to do a connecting flight.

You'd think AA would get a clue that with "American" in their name, they are a SPECIAL target
for the radical nutjobs of the Muslim world...which means they should
be tough screening EVERYONE on their planes. It's unfortunate, but a realistic
fact due to cries of racism that would arise from profiling.
