I believe this is political suicide for the Democrats. Rove said that there were only 12 million conservative evangelical Christians that voted in 2000 and he expected 15 million. If the Democrats employ this strategy you can expect 20 million evangelical Christians to vote in 2002 and 2004.

Unfortunately, many of those same evangelical Christians are quite willing to use the same guilt by association strategy e.g. brand all Muslims as "being like Taliban."

yes and no. people don't like the "blame america left", but they also don't like, and probably with even less tolerance, the "blame america right".

This was not the strategy used by successful Dem candidate for Virginia governor, Mark Warner last fall. His wife went on conservative Christian radio stations and talked about what a great Christian man he is. It might work in the blue states, though.

I all most puked when I read this on Drudge! People should be made aware of the fact DemoNcrats dont allow Pro gun and Anti abortion people to speak at their conventions but the republicans allow desenting opinions at their conventions. It seems one party hates free speach. The republicans better fight just as dirty for once. When the Republicans dont fight back it allows the demoNcrats to build the republicans image for them.
