Dear XXXX, 

THANK YOU for your membership in the Sixty Second Activist Club! 

This year -- our first year of existence -- we've made a HUGE 
impact. Just look at these statistics... our members have sent 
to Congress, the President and other leaders: 

* Over 980,000 faxes 
* Over 250,000 petition signatures 
* Over 125,000 emails/letters 
* Over 15,000 hand-delivered mailgrams & FedEx's 

And that's just the contacts that were made through us, that we 
could track -- it doesn't even count all of the faxes, phone calls, 
emails and letters that you and your friends sent on your own! 

GREAT JOB!!! 

Just think of some of what's happened this year, that YOU had a 
part in: 

* One of the first Action Items we sent out was in February, to 
support President Bush's plans for tax cuts. You responded in a 
big way, with tens of thousands of faxes to the Senate - and the 
tax cuts passed! 

* The McCain-Feingold campaign finance "reform" scheme was 
sidetracked -- hopefully, for good! 

* You were asked to contact President Bush and let him know you 
support his removing the liberal American Bar Association from the 
process to review potential federal judges. You did... and he 
"Borked" the ABA! 

* Liberal media mogul Ted Turner continued his anti-Christian 
bigotry by insulting his own employees for their faith in Christ. 
We gave you his boss' email address - and AOL's Steve Case emailed 
us all back with Turner's apology! 

* John Thoburn, a small business owner, was in jail because he 
wouldn't plant more trees on his golf driving range and appease 
power hungry bureaucrats. We asked you to contact the Fairfax 
County Board of Supervisors to demand his immediate release; YOU 
DID! Over 20,000 emails were sent to them through our Contact 
Center setup; this doesn't count all of the emails, phone calls, 
faxes, and letters that were sent that we have no way of 
tracking... and John Thoburn was released! 

* When Sen. James Jeffords of Vermont, one of several liberal 
Republican Senators, announced that he was leaving the Republican 
Party and becoming an Independent, thus shifting control of the 
Senate to the Democrats, we asked you to get everyone you knew 
in Georgia to contact their conservative Democrat Senator Zell 
Miller and ask him to switch parties. No, he didn't switch to 
the GOP... but the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that 
he received THOUSANDS of phone calls, faxes and emails, mostly 
from constituents in Georgia... and he's STILL considering a 
switch, according to recent reports! (He nearly always votes 
with the GOP, anyway!) 

* When we asked you to take action on the implementation of 
the UN's International Criminal Court (ICC), which would 
practically obliterate our Bill of Rights if enforced, you 
flooded the Senate with over 50,000 faxes... and it worked! 
The ICC treaty has been rejected... but there are those who 
want to bring it up again, so we'll keep watch! 

* When Congress let the moratorium on Internet taxes lapse, 
we sent you into action -- and Congress jumped up and extended 
the moratorium again! 

* House Democrats were pushing a bill that would weaken our 
airport security in order to funnel money to the Democrat 
Party, and it looked like they were going to get enough 
Republicans to go along and pass their bill, which had already 
cleared the Senate. We asked you to contact the ten members of 
the House who were likely to decide whether this liberal 
legislation passed. YOU DID IT -- the House of Representatives 
voted down the proposal to federalize airport security personnel, 
and passed the GOP plan requiring strict government oversight 
and supervision -- not new mandates. (Unfortunately, much of 
this big-government legislation was stuck back in in the 
compromise bill... but not all of it, thanks to the public 
outcry.) 

* When it was revealed that TIME magazine was considering naming 
Osama bin Laden their "Person of the Year", Sixty Second 
Activists gave TIME *their* input by emailing & taking part in 
their online poll, in record numbers. The result? Rudy Giuliani 
was picked instead -- what a great choice! 

We still have a lot to do. Here are some pending items that 
we'll be continuing to take action on: 

* Judicial nominees: Democrats are deadly serious about blocking 
every conservative that Bush names as a candidate for the federal 
bench and administrative positions. Bush may be sidestepping 
their obstructionism with several "recess appointments" in the 
next couple of weeks, but there are some long hard battles ahead 
for us in the Senate. And just wait until a Supreme Court seat 
opens up! 

* Missile defense: President Bush has thankfully pulled the USA 
out of the Soviet-era ABM treaty, but there's a big fight brewing 
in Congress and the media over his proposals for a strong missile 
defense program. Look for several action items in the near future 
on this issue. 

* Communist China: While we didn't succeed in our efforts to keep 
Beijing from being selected for hosting the Olympics, there are 
many areas where Sixty Second Activists will need to keep up the 
pressure on our elected officials, especially in human rights 
violations, support for terrorists, forced abortions, and factory 
slave labor. 

* Radical Islamism: America is just waking up to one of the 
greatest threats we've ever faced, in the form of radical Islam 
and its terroristic jihad ("holy war"). Very soon, our members 
will have the opportunity to learn exactly how the world is being 
lulled to sleep while an old Enemy of truth, justice, peace, and 
democracy gathers its strength for an all out offensive against 
the civilian populations of the West -- and how YOU can help stop 
radical Islam in its tracks! 

* Economic stimulus: Liberals in Congress continue to try and 
block President Bush's common-sense economic stimulus proposals 
at every turn, and turn them into huge pork projects for 
themselves. We don't need a return to the old tax-and-spend 
policies -- we need tax cuts, and plenty of them. We'll let you 
know how you can best take action! 

There's plenty more down the pike, and it's exciting to be a 
part of a group that really does have a major effect on leaders 
in America. 

We believe that we've unlocked the key to making Internet 
technology work to advance our conservative principles on a 
day-to-day basis. 

By attracting tens of thousands of conservatives and 
Republicans, we'll continue to effect votes that used to be 
cast while under the cover of darkness. 

Plus, you and I will advance -- and set -- the conservative 

agenda for America. 
Sometimes you're asked to sign a petition. At other times you 
send e-mails, faxgrams, FedEx's or mailgrams. 

It's important for you to understand that by doing ALL of these 
things we will continue to have a major cumulative effect. 

You might think to yourself that a petition is a waste of time. 
And if that's all that we ever did, you might be right. But when 
we follow up our petition with e-mails, phone calls, faxes, 
etc. -- we get Congress' attention in major ways. 

So look for your e-mail to arrive every day this coming year. 
There's some great work to be done!
