Zawahiri, in an audio message addressed to Somali militant group al-Shabaab, said U.S. influence in the Middle East was waning now that it's military engagements there have ended. Now physicists at the University of Vienna in Austria have "virtually intertwined" or entangled two particles spinning faster than ever in opposite directions. Entanglement occurs when two particles remain connected so that actions performed on one affect the other, despite the distance between them. (Einstein referred to this eerie connection as "spooky action at a distance.") In the new study, Anton Fickler and his colleagues entangled two photons that had a high orbital angular momentum, a property that measures the twisting of a wave of light. In quantum physics, particles such as photons can behave as particles and waves. Such...

A party that continues to pull defeat from the jaws of victory characterized by pompous fools who fulfill the sterotype built by the left. Frustrated that the reality of politics is this: There will be no third party capable of competing with the coalition constructed by the dems. FORT PIERCE — Republican U.S. Rep. Allen West wants courts to order elections officials to impound ballots and voting machines in preparation for a recount following his narrow loss to Democratic challenger Patrick Murphy. Motions for injunctions were filed in St. Lucie and Palm Beach counties. Information wasn’t immediately available from Martin County, the third county in congressional District 18. West trails Murphy by 2,456 votes or 0.78 percent. That’s not close enough to trigger a state law that requires a recount for races decided by 0.5 percent or less. Tuesday’s election results produced two very different mandates and a very troubling question for Republicans — including me. President Obama won a mandate despite 7.9 percent unemployment — the weakest economy since the Great Depression — high priced gasoline, huge questions about his response to Benghazi, and growing proof of government incompetence in the response to Hurricane Sandy. Mitt Romney fought a hard and with a well-organized campaign. We should be grateful for their tremendous effort. But the Obama campaign had a strategy and a structure, and they succeeded. (Reuters) - Hours after U.S. President Barack Obama was re-elected, the United States backed a U.N. committee's call on Wednesday to renew debate over a draft international treaty to regulate the $70 billion global conventional arms trade. U.N. delegates and gun control activists have complained that talks collapsed in July largely because Obama feared attacks from Republican rival Mitt Romney if his administration was seen as supporting the pact, a charge Washington denies. It was the worst of times and the worst of times. With the 2012 election results in, there are no short- or even medium-term "silver linings" for Republicans. President Barack Obama has won a decisive victory and the GOP, expecting to gain Senate seats, actually had a net loss of three. The "morning after" will bring the expected explanations and after-game quarterbacking. Still, it is important that the GOP understand why we lost this one in hopes of future victory. Perhaps the easy explanation is that two hurricanes and two betrayals by Chris Christie killed Mitt Romney's chances.

If you're wondering who voted Democrat last night and why, I happened to catch a couple quick man on the street interviews with attractive female yutes who had been parrying in front of the white house yesterday on one of the dying MSM networks. They were morons, naturally, but listen to their reasons: 1. The first called this the most unpopular Congress in history, accurately enough, but didn't indicate whether she knew it was split between the parties, nor what side she favored, nor what was gained by having the balance remain exactly as before. She might as well've said...

A group Leaders of the Tea Party News Network and offered an unflinching assessment of Election Day results. Todd Cefaratti, editor of the Tea Party News Network said, "We're disappointed in Governor Romney's loss. But this goes to the heart of what we have been saying all along. Bob Dole didn't win. John McCain didn't win. And now Mitt Romney hasn't won. The lesson the GOP and Americans need to learn is that weak-kneed Republicans do not get elected. Conservatives do." "The Tea Party has not yet begun to fight. It's time for a wholesale reassessment of the D.C....

Mere hours after declaring victory and his intent for “reaching out and working with leaders of both parties to meet the challenges we can only solve together,” President Barack Obama demonstrated some of that “flexibility” he predicted he’d have after the election when his administration backed a “U.N. committee's call…to renew debate over a draft international treaty to regulate the $60 billion global arms trade,” Reuters reported today. “Arms control advocates had hoped Obama would back the treaty if he was re-elected,” Reuters explained, and that he would was a given, as it was his administration that reversed previous policy...

Covington VA --( With the elections over now, gun owners are heading into what could be troubled waters. I don’t have a crystal ball, so were we are headed I can’t say for certain. However, based on the Obama Administration’s past performance and President Obama’s statements made during the debates, I will point out some of my concerns. FUTURE FOR FEDERAL GUN-CONTROL **LAWS** First, with the Republicans maintaining control of the House and enough of the Senate to prevent things being ramrodded through, I don’t see gun control, including an “assault weapon” ban, making it into law during the next...
  • Why Hispanics Don’t Vote for Republicans

The call for Republicans to discard their opposition to immigration amnesty will grow deafening in the wake of President Obama’s victory. Hispanics supported Obama by a margin of nearly 75 percent to 25 percent, and may have provided important margins in some swing states. If only Republicans relented on their Neanderthal views regarding the immigration rule of law, the message will run, they would release the inner Republican waiting to emerge in the Hispanic population.  If Republicans want to change their stance on immigration, they should do so on the merits, not out of a belief that only immigration policy...

There are 44 days until the Mayan Calendar expires. 44. Coincidence? I think not. At least we have something to look forward to happening.

This morning, liberal filmmaker Michael Moore wrote a joyful blogpost this morning celebrating President Obama’s victory. In his post, he thanked a number of people who helped make the president’s re-election possible, especially “Mother Nature.” “You, Mother Nature, with all your horrific damage, death and destruction you caused last week, you became, ironically, the undoing of a Party that didn’t believe in you or your climate changing powers,” Moore wrote, referring to Hurricane Sandy that hit the East Coast before the election. Moore also thanked Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey for being cordial with Obama during his visit. “Thank...

....Today, Frank Ricciardone, the U.S. ambassador to Turkey, announced that ObamaÂ’s first trip of his second term will be to Turkey, a country which has witnessed under its increasingly Islamist government an unprecedented roll back of basic freedoms. The Turks are looking at ObamaÂ’s choice as an endorsement. They are probably right. On top of this, RicciardoneÂ’s announcement comes right after TurkeyÂ’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip ErdoÄźan announced that he would soon travel to Gaza, in recognition and support of Hamas.
