Today is a day for pausing to remember how blessed we are to be here in America the greatest country under the watchful eye of God. Think of your advantages; love your family and let this day renew your resolve to fight to keep the blessings our Founding Fathers gave us. While things are as dark and dreary as they have been in our lifetime, there is room for gratitude to God for what we have. We are the people who have made this country what it is. Even though we are facing the worst the liberals can throw at...

Dr. Ernesto Torres said at a news conference Thursday that doctors are still performing tests on Camacho before meeting with his family. Torres had said late Wednesday that Camacho was showing irregular and intermittent brain activity.

(Scroll down for video) A family dog helped alert parents that their 9-week-old baby has stopped breathing, according to reports. The Brousseau family rescued their dog six years ago, and the dog returned the favor on Sunday in Portland, Oregon. The Brousseaus say that the dog named Duke is responsible for saving the life of their baby daughter. On Sunday night, Duke jumped on the bed and trembled uncontrollably, enough to wake them. "If Duke had not been so scared, we would have gone to sleep," Jenna Brousseau said.

One of my favorite Peanuts holiday specials. Charlie Brown and the gang play Pilgrim children in this re-enactment of the Mayflower voyage and the first Thanksgiving. I highly recommend this one for children. It's also nice to see something from Hollywood that's pro Western civilization.

-SNIP-Though a Romney win, by many indicators felt within reach, it didn’t happen. However, the fact that it almost did - and with very few variables could have - this reality has changed everything for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints (Mormon) – for the good.-SNIP--As members of the LDS Church have taken increased opportunities to discuss their faith because of interest in Mitt Romney’s Mormonism, over time it became increasingly evident that no matter what sensitive issue came our way, be it baptism for the dead, racism, polygamy, Mormon temple worship, gender equality, etc… the...

... In his tour of Burma, billed as an historic first visit since Burma's 2007 move to democracy, it was clear he was in way over his head, even on small things. Obama repeatedly referred to the country's Nobel Peace Prize-winning leader Aung San Suu Kyi as Aung Yan Suu Kyi, an astonishing error given her global fame. He also bungled the norms of Burmese polite address, calling Thein Sein, the nation's leader "President Sein," an error comparable to addressing Cambodia's Pol Pot as Mr. Pot. But he also undermined his supposed democracy mission, first by telling the Burmese leaders...

Hoosier workers to get $111 come tax time 18 hours ago • Dan Carden, (317) 637-9078 INDIANAPOLIS | Hoosier income tax payers each will receive $111 next year as Indiana returns a portion of its $2.15 billion budget reserve to its citizens. Gov. Mitch Daniels on Wednesday announced the value of the taxpayer refund created by lawmakers in 2011 to ensure the state's reserve funds never get too big. Under the law, a refund is automatically triggered when the reserve tops 10 percent of the next year's budgeted spending. "Better that these dollars remain in the pockets of the...

The manager of a Faro-based supermarket chain today shot an employee, wounding him in the arm. The incident occurred about 05.00a.m. at a warehouse in Galvanas that services the ‘Algartalhos’ supermarket chain. It is thought that the employee was caught with an accomplice stealing stock. The manager saw two employees, and, in breach of disciplinary procedures, fired at one of them, winging him. The victim was transported to hospital in Faro, the entrepreneur has gone missing and is being sought by the Judicial Police.

I am not nearly as thankful as I ought to be. The two most important days of my life I often take for granted. The First Day was the day that Christ died for my sins. Jesus took the punishment for every one of my sins, even the ones I haven’t committed yet. Dreadful thought that I would live as in ingrate! Glorious thought that he would die anyway! That one day alone should be enough to cause me to live every moment in continuous Thanksgiving. Righteous Christ died for me, the ungodly. But there was another Day. The Day...

On Christmas Eve of last year, I wrote an article expressing my disgust and frustration with the Republican Party. Now, almost a year later, the GOP has once again proven that it has become a completely ineffective vehicle with which to advance the conservative agenda. The election is over, and now is the time to start the process of choosing a suitable replacement. This is not a step I take lightly. For more than 30 years I have been a loyal Republican, serving in positions within the party as well as being a vocal supporter of GOP candidates and the...

Explaining voter fraud, Benghazi and the fiscal cliff to Fox-watching family members..“The Holidays” are now officially here, and all Americans will soon have to face their extended families and listen to them talk. For many young Americans — specifically young Americans related to old white Americans — Thanksgiving and our various Winter Holidays are extra stressful, because young Americans are largely a liberal, Obama-voting bunch, and old white Americans are mostly not. Unfortunately, old white Americans spend a lot of their time being lied to by conservatives on TV, the radio and the Internet, and while that is not their...

The city of Detroit, facing a serious cash crisis, is set to go bankrupt by the end of this year and would put city workers on furlough unless it strikes a deal with the city council that would bring in $30 million before Dec. 14. Detroit has been in financial turmoil for years, losing a quarter of its population in the past decade and facing a shrinking auto industry that has reduced tax revenues. The Detroit City Council gave the mayor the option to hire a financial advisor and in return receive $30 million by the end of the year....

Congressional Pension May Still Await Jesse Jackson Jr.By Billy House November 21, 2012 | 5:00 p.m. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., may be resigning from Congress under a cloud, but the Illinois Democrat may still be in line to draw a congressional pension. That is, unless the 47-year-old lawmaker later agrees to forfeit his retirement benefits through any plea negotiations that might come out of the federal investigation he acknowledged is ongoing. On Wednesday afternoon, the best estimates through quick calculations by the Alexandria, Va.-based National Taxpayers Union determined Jackson could have an annual pension of about $45,000 if he waits...

Facebook from Mark Levin ^ | 22 November 2012 | Mark Levin Really Ann? You mean Romney's one debate bests Reagan's decades of advocacy for conservatism, his battles with the Republican establishment, and his building a conservative movement? Fact is Romney has done nothing for conservatism. I repeat, nothing. No leadership. No grassroots efforts. No major policy initiatives. Nothing. Reagan won two landslides. Romney won nothing. Cherry-picking facts Ann, in some strange cult-like obsession, fools no one. Same with your cheerleading for Chris Christie.

Every family’s got one, at least. That hardcore conservative who makes every Thanksgiving get-together a nightmare by sounding off, unprompted, on how liberals are ruining this country with their taxing and their spending and their gay-marrying, and how back in my day blah blah blah. Usually you just keep your head down and stare into your turkey and try not to make eye contact with anyone. Then the next morning in the shower you remember what you should have said in response. But this year’s going to be different. Why? Because here at MSNBC, we’ve anticipated crazy Uncle Gary’s top...

By his own admission George Orwell was a committed socialist. About a year before his death in 1950 Orwell responded to the leftist charge that his recently published novel 1984 represented a direct attack on both socialism and the British Labour Party. Orwell calmed the fears of his progressive friends with the following response: "My recent novel [1984] is NOT intended as an attack on Socialism or on the British Labour Party (of which I am a supporter) but as a show-up of the perversions to which a centralized economy is liable and which have already been partly realized in...

As eviction-related suicides continue to rise in Spain, protests are becoming more frequent with the public outraged at the government’s lack of action to combat social ills. Evictions are a “humanitarian concern,” the national bank chief has said. The governor of the Bank of Spain, Luis Maria Linde, said that the increasing number of evictions related to financial woes should be combated through “social initiatives.” The evictions have driven over 100 people to commit suicide, and mass protests on the issue have become a regular occurrence in Spain. “We must urgently address and social humanitarian issues, this will have to...
