Today is Christmas Day. Hanukkah ended nine days ago. New Years Day is seven days from now. Yet... for some explicable reason, Google thinks today is "Holidays." A newspaper in New York has received a wave of criticism from its readers after publishing the names and addresses of all of the individuals with handgun or pistol permits in its coverage area. Hundreds of residents in New York’s Westchester and Rockland counties were surprised to find their names and addresses listed on a map posted by The Journal News on Sunday. Governor Rick Scott today announced that Florida’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped to 8.1 percent for the month of November – down 0.4 percentage points from last month. That’s the lowest it’s been since November 2008. This is also the largest drop in the rate over the month since October 1992, and was the second time it occurred this year. Supreme Court prosecutor Yiannis Tentes has ordered an investigation into whether pharmaceutical companies or pharmacists have been complicit in creating a shortage of medicines in Greece on purpose. Tentes has asked all of Greece’s appeals court prosecutors to probe the allegations after SYRIZA MP Panayiotis Kouroublis brought up the matter in Parliament.
