DENVER (CBS4) - President Barack Obamais apologizing to Americans who are losing their current health insurance plans. Millions of people are getting cancellation notices, including about 250,000 Coloradans. For years the president said that those who like their current plan would be able to keep it, but it turns out that’s not the case.

This now marks the fourth poll over the past several weeks to show Obama's approval ratings in the 30s (after AP, Reuters/Ipsos, and Gallup). Obamacare is clearly beginning to ruin the Marxist tyrant in the White House and, if history is any indication, this does NOT bode well for a second-term president's party about to enter the midterm election cycle.

Is there such a thing as a tan Englishman? Todd and Carl debate the issue momentarily before focusing their attention on the recent news surrounded Pope Francis' universalist comments. If you're not familiar with the term "anonymous Christian" (don't worry...we weren't either), listen in and learn how the Pope's flawed theology has been plaguing the church from Justin Martyr in the 2nd century to misguided modern day teachers like Rob Bell. Is there a difference between universalism and inclusivism? What's the real problem with the Roman Catholic Church? Our hosts will answer these questions and more in this "no guest...

Senator Ted Cruz says that the proposed U.S.-Iran deal is "dangerous for America." He made the comments in a prepared statement sent out today by his Senate office. Ted Cruz “If the reports are correct, this is a terrible deal, and it is dangerous for America. Could 3D printing help solve the world's shelter crises? At a TED talk in Ojai, Calif., Behrokh Khoshnevis, director of the Manufacturing Engineering Graduate Program at the University of Southern California, said nearly 1 billion people in the world don’t have access to adequate shelter, a situation that breeds poverty, disease, illiteracy, crime and overpopulation. To address this problem, Khoshnevis is developing a process called Contour Crafting to use 3D printing technology to build entire houses. Khoshnevis said the giant 3D printers his team is developing can build a 2,500-square-foot house in as little as 20 hours. The Contour Crafting...

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) - Efforts to build a company marketed as selling anti-rape underwear has created controversy. The product is called AR Wear, which stands for anti-rape. Two women are trying to get their business off the ground, saying the panties, shorts, knickers and tops are designed to prevent a rapist from gaining access to a woman's body. They said the product will give females additional power over their bodies in the event of an assault. But some advocates for rape victims are crying foul. The New York women have launched a campaign on the crowd-funding site, IndieGoGo.com. The...

As I have discussed here previously, the first state to explicitly ration Medicaid–an integral feature of all single payer systems–tightened the screws against terminal cancer patients a few months ago. Now, the issues is gaining wider discussion in Oregon. From an opinion column published in the Statesman Journal by Peter J. Pitts: In August, Oregon’s Health Evidence Review Commission issued an update to its guidelines for providing cancer treatment to low-income individuals covered by the state Medicaid program. These new guidelines require that Medicaid deny coverage for certain cancer treatments for patients that have been deemed “too” sick, haven’t responded...

COLUMBUS, Ohio - It is Veterans Day weekend. The celebration of our nation's heroes began Friday with the annual Veterans Day parade in Downtown Columbus. Thousands of Central Ohioans lined the streets to showing their gratitude to the men and women who served our country. While many fought in wars decades ago, there is also a new generation of heroes. "It's just an honor and a privilege to look across this formation to see combat veterans, just like their grandfathers were from an Ohio unit," said Colonel Gordon Ellis of the Ohio National Guard 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. Different...

The Democrats who voted for the debacle are now scrambling for cover. The torrents of Affordable Care Act monsoon season aren't letting up, so Democrats are scrambling to help the victims: namely, their own careers. The Senators up for re-election in competitive states in 2014 are starting to panic, though they still aren't offering solutions for anything other than their own growing political jeopardy. Meanwhile, the Salesman in Chief has been exposed for his fraudulent promises. All of which has the ObamaCare Dozen—the Democrats who each cast the decisive 60th vote and are running for re-election in 2014—fleeing for political...

Don’t Give it Up! Today's Scripture “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” (Proverbs 17:22, ESV) Today's Word from Joel and Victoria Throughout life, there will always be something that will try to take our joy. If it’s not a grumpy sales person, it’s a family member aggravating you, traffic is backed up, your flight got delayed, or your spouse is taking too long! Don’t go the next 20 years allowing the same people and same circumstances to frustrate you. Change your approach. What’s upsetting you now doesn’t have to upset you...

The Unrivaled Power of Prayer "We do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered" —Romans 8:26 We realize that we are energized by the Holy Spirit for prayer; and we know what it is to pray in accordance with the Spirit; but we don’t often realize that the Holy Spirit Himself prays prayers in us which we cannot utter ourselves. When we are born again of God and are indwelt by the Spirit of God, He expresses for us the unutterable.“He,” the...

After titillating the media for the past few days with hints of a “big announcement,” Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius told an audience in Atlanta that her office was taking a “historic step to aggressively deal with mental health issues under the Affordable Care Act.” Undaunted by a spattering of audible groans from the audience, Sebelius plowed ahead explaining that “studies show that nearly 50% of Americans have serious mental health issues that have gone untreated. People who should be on medication are not currently receiving this benefit. People who should be institutionalized are not receiving this...

This happened a few days ago, on Nov. 1st. To be honest, I saw the headlines, but was sure somebody was speaking figuratively, not that some guy literally handed the "Honorable" Kathleen Sebelius one of those how to Dummy books. The look on her face is priceless, once she realized what she was holding. As I would expect, Kate hands the ugly little instrument of GOP hate off to the nearest flunky. "Here! Take this icky, damnable object away from my esteemed presence. I command you!!" Senator Brian Kelsey (R) of Tennessee, pranked the Ice Maiden but good. Kate Sebelius...
