We’ll see. It’s nice to read the op-eds about a “reckoning” with Clinton and tweets like this one… Chris Hayes …but the mystery will forever linger how Democrats would have reacted to him vis-a-vis the Weinstein revelations if he were on television again every day as First Gentleman of the United States, not an ex-president whose main job now is showing up to charity events with the Bushes. Would there have been any Weinstein revelations at all during a Hillary Clinton presidency, knowing how they might blow back at her and Bill? Even the some of the recent liberal columns...

Authorities say a teenage girl has been killed in a hunting accident in Alabama. News outlets report the 15-year-old was shot on Monday about 20 miles southwest of Birmingham. Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies believe the girl and an adult family friend had been on a youth hunt. Authorities say the girl climbed down from a tree stand while they prepared to leave. As the friend passed down her rifle, deputies say the gun fired and struck the teen.

Sex and the City can still be saved — if Sia Furler has her way. Amid rumors that series star Kim Cattrall refused to sign on for a third movie for the HBO franchise, the Austrian singer-songwriter has expressed her displeasure over the scrapped Sex and the City 3 and is ready to take matters into her own hands. In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple One radio, Sia even offered to take Cattrall’s place in Sex and the City 3. “‘I was like, I’ll play Sam, like nobody cares!” Sia said. “Like they just want the movie. We...

Today the jurors in the corruption trial of Senator Bob Menendez (D – NJ) will go back to work on orders of the judge, seeking to break what appears to be heading for a deadlock. Of course, if you don’t read conservative blogs or watch Fox News, you probably didn’t know that. There’s been a vacuum in terms of coverage on the major networks and most of cable news. One glaring example of this is MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell, who freely admits that he hasn’t mentioned the trial once since it began. Why is that? He was actually asked about it...

Lorry driver Abu Fawzi thought it was going to be just another job. He drives an 18-wheeler across some of the most dangerous territory in northern Syria. Bombed-out bridges, deep desert sand, even government forces and so-called Islamic State fighters don’t stand in the way of a delivery. But this time, his load was to be human cargo. The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), an alliance of Kurdish and Arab fighters opposed to IS, wanted him to lead a convoy that would take hundreds of families displaced by fighting from the town of Tabqa on the Euphrates river to a camp...

A Republican congresswoman said Tuesday she was told recently by a trusted source that a member of Congress exposed himself to a staffer. Rep. Barbara Comstock, R-Va., said at a House hearing on preventing sexual harassment on Capitol Hill that she was told about a staffer who quit her job after a lawmaker asked her to bring work material to his house, then exposed himself. "That kind of situation, what are we doing here for women, right now, who are dealing with someone like that?" Comstock asked. Stories of sexual harassment and gender hostility are continuing to come to light...

To mark the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution, time capsules that were buried 50 years ago across the country are being unearthed. The 1917 upheaval, including the October Revolution, saw the toppling of the Russian monarchy and the Russian Empire eventually replaced by the Soviet Union. Young people in 1967 wrote letters to their 2017 peers, celebrating the achievements of Soviet rule and anticipating exciting developments in space exploration and science. But they could have hardly imagined that - 50 years later - flights to Mars would still be a distant reality, and that the Soviet Union would have...

On Monday, a fifth woman came forward with allegations that Roy Moore sexually assaulted her when she was 16 years old and he was a prosecutor in Etowah County, Ala. The accusations to date are both plausible and disgusting. When Moore was in his early thirties, he allegedly sought out and sexually assaulted numerous teenage girls, including a 14-year-old. Moore has denied it, sort of, although his weird interview with Sean Hannity on Friday left the strong impression that the charges are most likely true. Yet it’s hard to understand why voters in Alabama are only just now realizing that...

For The First Time In A Very Long Time, An American President Stared Down China & China Blinked Donald Trump arrived at the APEC summit with a bit of swagger. Though already a naturally tall and broad-shouldered man, he stood bigger than life among his world leader contemporaries as a petulant Establishment Media did all it could to downplay the aura of strength that followed Mr. Trump everywhere he went. Gone was the rapid gun-chewing insecurity that marked Barack Obama’s participation in such gatherings. There was no apologizing for America’s past. No remarking how the United States owed others. The Mueller probe expands to cover Clinton’s relationship with Russia. Senior federal prosecutors are investigating Hillary Clinton, the sale of Uranium One, and the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation, a move that may lead to the appointment of another independent prosecutor, Fox News reports. Under Attorney General Jeff Sessions, the Department of Justice ordered prosecutors to examine “certain issues” raised by congressional Republicans, according to a letter Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd sent to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and other committee members, who have been demanding a special counsel be assigned to probe Clinton.

Known for his insightful take on politics, journalist and author Thomas Wictor believes Judge Roy Moore’s signature in Gloria Allred accuser Beverly Young Nelson’s yearbook is a forgery. The sevens in 1977 to the right of “Christmas,” are very different from the sevens in the date (12-22-77) above “Old Hickory House.” “Look at the two versions of the number “7,” tweeted Wictor. “”12-22-77” and “Olde Hickory House” were written by a different person,” he added. Next, Wictor points out “the “R” and “y” in “Roy,”” are not written the same way.

WASHINGTON — President Trump on Tuesday named immigration hardliner Tom Homan, who has served nearly 10 months as acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, to run ICE on a permanent basis. Homan has run the agency since Obama appointee Sarah Saldańa — the former U.S. attorney in Dallas — stepped down when Trump took office in January. He has been a public face of the administration's crackdowns on immigrants and border security, a tough talking law enforcement careerist who is unapologetic about being "heartless" when it comes to deporting even the most sympathetic longtime U.S. residents. "I get asked...

So we have a candidate for a position in Washington D.C. accused of stalking and harassing young women. You’re probably thinking we’re off on yet another story about Roy Moore, right? Not this time. The latest politician to earn such a reputation is from considerably further out west. In New Mexico, David Alcon is running for Congress, hoping to represent the Second District. His campaign hit a bit of a snag recently, however, when he was arrested for stalking a woman and engaging in threatening, sexually aggressive behavior. Oh, and just in case you were wondering… he’s a Democrat. (Free...

The White House is considering economist Mohamed El-Erian as one of several candidates to potentially serve as the Federal Reserve’s vice chairman, according to a person familiar with the matter. The process of selecting the Fed’s No. 2 official began this month after President Donald Trump nominated Fed governor Jerome Powell to succeed Fed Chairwoman Janet Yellen when her term expires next February. Mr. El-Erian, the former chief executive of Pacific Investment Management Co. and a former deputy director of the International Monetary Fund, is one of several candidates under consideration for the vice chair position, and no decisions have...

President Rodrigo Duterte disclosed late Tuesday night that he did not bother to dignify Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s mention of extra judicial killings irritants and related human rights issues at the sidelines of the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit. President Duterte described the brief exchange with Trudeau as “a personal and official insult” to him. “I said that I will not explain. It angers me when you are a foreigner and you do not know exactly what is happening in this country,” the president explained during a press briefing after the ASEAN Summit ended. “You don’t...

Turkey’s misguided foreign policy has increasingly become apparent in three main spheres: Syria, Iraq and the Gulf region. During an hourlong, live TV interview on Nov. 7 at — an independent, web-based, Turkish news platform — on the latest developments in the Middle East, I was asked what their impact could be on Turkish foreign policy in the region. The question referred to the recent dramatic steps taken by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the unexpected resignation of Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri. In my response, I characterized Turkey’s recent political moves in the region as a...

CORNING, Calif. - Witnesses tell a chilling account of two gunman who opened fire at Rancho Tehama Elementary School near Corning Tuesday morning. Coy Ferreira, whose daughter is a kindergarten student, was dropping his daughter off for class just before 8 a.m. when he heard what sounded like a firecracker. A school secretary ran out and yelled for the kids to get in the classrooms because someone was shooting at the school. Ferreira said he ran into a classroom with 14 students. He said the series of shots came through the classroom windows, hitting one student. Ferreria said a young...
