I’m really really getting tired of the whole “gun nuts are paranoid about President Obama” meme that the antis are pushing. And pushing. And pushing. The latest culprit is Pat Wray, a columnist for the High Country News who wrote in a piece titled A Conversation I Am Looking Forward To Having With The NRA: "So, even when President Obama does exactly what you guys want, signs laws that you had a hand in writing, you still don't give him credit. Did all of you intern at Pravda, or what? Here's what I think. I am truly worried about gun...

No, he wasnt just messing with the lefts head when he said he has tapes of The One in his younger years. They exist, says Bannon, and he and some of the Big guys like Joel Pollak and Larry OConnor are going through them. They must be near the end of their review too if Bannon can promise them as soon as 10 days from now. Obama is not the cool, calm, and collected guy that he portrays publicly; he's far from it. Obama is described privately as a thin-skinned hot-head when it comes to questioning his policies, or anything else, for that matter. Though there has been a slight shift upward in Obama's poll numbers, Obama knows the real temperature of the American people. Here are 10 indicators as to why Obama will have sleepless nights leading up to the election of 2012: 1. Obama started African Americans for Obama. When blacks supposedly voted at 95 percent for Obama in the last election, one has...

Ive been struck, in the aftermath of Michigan and Arizona, by how many political journalists have made arguments like the following from New Yorks John Heilemann, which emphasizes Mitt Romneys continued weakness and vulnerability: the shirts versus skins schism that has emerged as a defining feature of the Republican electorate will be sharper in many of the ten states that vote [on Super Tuesday]. In Georgia, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Idaho, and Alaska, more than half the voters going to the polls are likely to be Evangelicals (whereas in Michigan the percentage was just 39 percent). Many people are looking to the many primary elections on March 6th "Super Tuesday" to clarify where this year's Republican nomination campaign is headed. It may clarify far more than that, including the future of this nation and of Western civilization. If a clear winner with a commanding lead emerges, the question then becomes whether that candidate is someone who is likely to defeat Barack Obama. If not, then the fate of America and of Western nations, including Israel will be left in the hands of a man with a lifelong hostility to Western values...

"What they didn't expect was the complete ineptness of this president!" A great many have made something close to this statement over the last three years. Stating that voters did not expect the complete ineptness of Obama is a very dangerous and misguided assertion to make. Conservative pundits almost overwhelmingly make this incorrect assumption in every critique of the administration. These pundits could not possibly be more wrong.  I contend that there is absolutely nothing inept about this president. The only good news for the Republicans coming out of the seemingly endless presidential candidate "debates" is that some Republican leaders are now belatedly thinking about how they can avoid a repetition of this debacle in future elections. What could they possibly have been thinking about, in the first place, when they agreed to a format based on short sound bites for dealing with major complex issues, and with media journalists 90 percent of them Democrats picking the topics? It seems fair to say that any American citizen who cherishes the Second Amendment cannot and should not reelect Barack Obama later this year. Since entering public life, as his record demonstrates, the president has repeatedly and unequivocally supported controversial legislation as a way to limit the rights of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms. In his most recent book, for example, then-Senator Obama even asserted that keeping guns out of inner cities was a moral responsibility. Paradoxically, however, his efforts to undermine the Second Amendment and impose more stringent gun control laws are prompting U.S. citizens...

One of my dads favorite sayings was, Live fast, die young, and leave a good looking corpse. How about a corpse that can vote?An outfit called Project Veritas run by James OKeefe, who made the videos that brought down ACORN ran a little experiment in New Hampshire Tuesday and found that without voter ID requirements, dead people were offered a rare opportunity to participate in the political process.Because you see, Mssrs. Obama and Holder, states want voter ID laws not to prevent minorities from voting, but to PREVENT THE DECEASED FROM VOTING.Attorney General Eric Holder has been waging an...

That's saying something, because I'm not much of a Ron Paul fan. I respect him on a lot of levels, but I worry about some of his more 'extreme' views on foreign policy. I just don't think turning our back on Israel and giving up strategic military bases would be the best of ideas.

I recently made a private vow not to use the term Israel Firster again, for two reasons: its derogatory (and it was, initially, my vituperative response to being called anti-Israel by assorted neoconservative blowhards) and its inaccuratemost of those who are, I believe, unduly aggressive about Israels national security believe that the national security of Israel and the U.S. are identical. But how does one describe Sheldon Adelson, who saystongue slightly in cheek, it seemsthat he could spend $100 million to support Newt Gingrichs presidential campaignand who also is known to have only one public policy issue on his agenda:...

This story is part of a larger profile appearing in the March 12th, 2012 issue of FORBES magazine. Sheldon Adelson plays as stubbornly in politics as he does in business. So the criticisms that hes trying to personally buy the presidential election for Newt Gingrich are met with a roll of the eyes. Those people are either jealous or professional critics, Adelson tells me during his first interview since he and his wife began funneling $11 million, with another $10 million injection widely expected, into the former speakers super PAC, Winning Our Future. They like to trash other people. Its...
  • Carney: "Obama Didn't Turn Down The Keystone Pipeline!" (Can you believe.....)

White House press secretary Jay Carney says Republicans "forced" President Obama to deny the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline. Later in his press briefing, Carney says Obama didn't turn down the pipeline. "In terms of Keystone, as you all know, the history here is pretty clear. And the fact is because Republicans decided to play political with Keystone, their action essentially forced the administration to deny the permit process because they insisted on a time frame in which it was impossible to completely approve the pipeline," Carney said when asked about the pipeline by ABC News' Jake Tapper. Later...

American firearm sales and concealed handgun permit applications are at all-time highs since the 2008 election of President Barack Obama. President Obama's perceived hostility towards gun owners has been one of the key factors behind the multi-year financial boom the firearms industry continues to enjoy. In fact, the National Rifle Association (NRA) is actively preparing to work to defeat President Obama's 2012 re-election campaign, according to Wayne LaPierre, the CEO of the NRA, who recently said the following at the 2012 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington, D.C.: "Lip service to gun owners is just part of a massive...
