Liberals have an unending capacity for doing the wrong things. When the economy is hurting, they suck the life out of productive citizens rather than stimulate the economy so all can have the opportunity to do well. Two very different news stories stood out for me recently. The first was the story of the killing of 26 innocent women and children at the school in Connecticut. The other was a story out of Iowa where a panel of judges said that a dentist could fire his assistant for being too attractive. At first blush the two stories couldn't be more different. The truth is we need real professionals to implement security devices and techniques in our schools to at least make it more difficult for homicidal maniacs to ply their trade in our schools. Arming teachers who are capable and have the guts to confront evil, perhaps even paying them more to attend seminars to train in procedures, would be a first step in making our schools more secure. I always find the process of purchasing a weapon interesting since it is a right guaranteed to all citizens assuming they are not felons, drug addicts, illegal aliens, domestic abusers, or mentally unstable....supposedly.
