Ocean County Republicans endorsed former Randolph Mayor Tom MacArthur as their preferred nominee. The endorsement comes five days after the Burlington County GOP also backed MacArthur.

I have decided not to "throw my hat" into the ring and run for US House 3rd District/Iowa. I felt that I could not run a viable Campaign and it would reflect badly on both Tea Party and Free Republic people. Tom Latham is leaving and THAT was the important thing. I am looking CLOSLY at who is running and will endorse later.

It's Official: Chuck Ahner is the Republican Nominee for United States Congress! The Kansas Secretary of State certified the results of last Tuesday's Primary Election. According to the Kansas City Star, "Chuck Ahner surged ahead of the three other Republican candidates" and "trounced" his closest opponent in the race. Winning more than 52 percent of the vote in a 4-person race, Chuck Ahner was the clear consensus candidate to be the Republican nominee in the 2006 general election. Chuck's clear message of stronger education, limited government and economic growth resonated with the people of the Third District and brought together...

I made it to the debate last night, although I couldn’t stay for the entire affair. I was surprised to see the turnout. It was standing room only. Another surprise was the number of young people. I was not surprised by the large number of Scott campaign workers. He’s been in power for a long time. Scott opened with a typical mindless democratic party script. He’s for better health care, decries the debt, blah, blah. He even came with charts – one of which showed what our National debt would be in 2040 if spending remains as is! He projected...

Zarelli announces 3rd District bid 05/14/2002 The Associated Press OLYMPIA - Republican state Sen. Joe Zarelli on Monday opened his late-blooming challenge of Democratic U.S. Rep. Brian Baird in the 3rd District of southwest Washington. The Ridgefield lawmaker, a seven-year veteran of the Legislature and vice chairman of the Senate Republican caucus, announced he'll take the baton from Trent Matson. State and district party leaders immediately endorsed Zarelli, meaning there isn't likely to be a GOP primary. Matson, of Olympia, an official of the Building Industry Association of Washington, stunned the party by abruptly withdrawing from the race on...
