FRANKFORT, Ky. — Representative Ron Paul proved to be a surprising presence in the presidential race in 2008. Now his son, Dr. Rand Paul, has become an unexpected contender in the 2010 Senate race in Kentucky. Dr. Paul — an ophthalmologist and a son of the congressman, a Texas Republican and former presidential candidate — has become a serious challenger in the race to succeed Senator Jim Bunning. Capitalizing on a hearty distrust of government and an anti-Republican-establishment fervor among conservatives, he has used the Internet to raise more than $1.3 million since he began his campaign in August. “This...

Rand Paul, a candidate in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate in Kentucky revealed in an interview Thursday for the Wall Street Journal's Washington Wire blog that his campaign has asked 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin to campaign for him: Washington Wire: Do you want Sarah Palin to campaign for you?Paul: We’d love to have her come. We’ve made some overtures to her.But the son of Texas congressman Ron Paul did not seem too excited about two other potential Republican presidential candidates: Washington Wire: What about Tim Pawlenty or Mitt Romney?Paul: I don’t know much about Tim Pawlenty....

Barack Obama's Web site: Hitler was right about Jews, U.S. may have destroyed Twin Towers on 9/11 We previously described how Barack Obama appointed Van Jones, the equivalent of a Holocaust denier, to the position of "Green Jobs Czar." Holocaust denial and its equivalent, 9/11 denial, are in fact characteristic of Mr. Obama's political allies. Classical Holocaust denial, of course, consists of denying that Hitler murdered Jews (and others) because of their religion or ethnicity. Holocaust deniers say that there were no gas chambers, and that the "Holohoax" is a means for Jews to extort money from Germany and the...

This November, New York voters will vote on a ballot initiative to establish an official government "9/11 TRUTHER" commission with subpoena power and a $10 million a yaer budget from PRIVATE DONATIONS. The wording of the ballot initiative is seductive and low-key enough to win a majority of NYC voters, simply asking "Would you like to find out more about what happened on 9/11?" The ballot initiative does NOT make any accusations or mention any conspiracy theories. Therefore, the ballot initiative is likely to pass. Even those who do not believe in the conspiracy theories will want to know more...

French Hero, Major Pierre-Henri Bunel Proud of Upholding French Honor Even though ten years ago, because of giving away NATO aggression plans to a Serbian military intelligence officer, Major Pierre-Henri Bunel lost everything this former agent for French military intelligence does not regret his decision to side with the Serbs in a dishonorable, undeclared war of conquest led by the mighty Western nations on the eve of the 21st century. Because of Serbia, Major Bunel lost everything in 1999: his job, decorations, thriving carrier and freedom itself. As a French Army intelligence officer, in 1998 he revealed the plans for...

The Internet is a beautiful thing, most will argue that it is probably the most substantial technological advancement humanity has experienced since the automobile. The ability to communicate and disseminate information at such rapid rates has made our society more aware, more educated and regrettably more paranoid. I am talking about the emergence of conspiracy theories that seem to dominate our political landscape now more than ever...

xactly ten years ago this week I preached in our church's morning service...It being the first Sunday of 1999, I decided to preach an appropriately forward-looking message on Matthew 6:34 and its context: "Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself." In those days, the evangelical world was at the peak of the Y2K insanity, so I made reference to that issue in my message. At the time, Gary North was operating a heavily-trafficked website that included this: We've got a problem. It may be the biggest problem that the...

The decision on granting a hearing challenging President-elect Barack Obama's U.S. citizenship is still pending. The "Washington Times" reports that the U.S. Supreme Court held a private conference Friday morning to discuss whether to take up a lawsuit but it was not on the list of court orders for the day. According to the "Times" a Supreme Court spokesman said the decision to hear the case will most likely be announced next week.

9/11 third tower mystery 'solved' By Mike Rudin BBC, Conspiracy Files The final mystery of 9/11 will soon be solved, according to US experts investigating the collapse of the third tower at the World Trade Center. The 47-storey third tower, known as Tower Seven, collapsed seven hours after the twin towers. Investigators are expected to say ordinary fires on several different floors caused the collapse. Conspiracy theorists have argued that the third tower was brought down in a controlled demolition. Unlike the twin towers, Tower Seven was not hit by a plane. The National Institute of Standards and Technology, based...

It was supposed to be a revolution. Ron Paul was set to take America and the world by storm by winning primary after primary on his way to the White House. The supporters of the ten-term US Congressman from Texas were convinced that the money he raised would equal support at the actual ballot box. Now in the cold hard days of January, the truth has broken though. So what has happened to Ron Paul? The answer isn't difficult; his support was never very large to begin with. It was magnified by a presence on the Internet (or the "Internets"...

Desperate to take support from wherever he can get it. Some - well more like all of two readers have gotten a little cross-eyed over the fact that I dared to imply that George Soros/MoveOn forces were working covertly to assist the most Soros-like candidate on the GOP ticket. The truth is some of the support has been covert, some of it rather obvious... For instance one MoveOn group assisted in the funding and production of this television ad:

I saw the interviews with Ron Paul on Glen Beck and Meet the Press and found myself agreeing with much of what he said. He referred to a movie called Freedom to Fascism so I decided to watch. I am a very skeptical person yet I am now convinced. MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Campaigning in New Hampshire today, Republican Ron Paul says he would lift sanctions on Iran and order the U.S. Navy to pull back from its shores. Paul says if the U.S. relieved pressure on Iran, people would breathe a sign of relief, interest rates probably would not go up and oil prices probably would drop. Speaking in Manchester, Paul said the Bush administration has been looking for war with Iran.

Paul Won't Rule Out Run as Independent Ron Paul, the Texas congressman stirring up the Republican presidential contest with his libertarian-leaning views and online fundraising prowess, left the door open Sunday to running as an independent, should he not win the Republican nomination. Paul, who has railed against excessive federal spending, also defended his own earmarks to benefit his congressional district into spending bills, likening them to a "tax credit" for his constituents. He added that his position was consistent because he ultimately voted against the spending measures. And he decried the Civil War, calling it a needless effort for...

Paul looked miserable at times and sounded worse. This was not a good appearance for Dr. Paul, the NBC appearance was not kind. Paul was forced to say that he would vote against the Civil Rights Act of 1964 if it were brought up for a vote again today. It was pointed out that he deemed Ronald Reagan "a dramatic failure." And his answer on the Civil War was mind blowing. He said that Abraham Lincoln made a mistake by going to war to free the slaves and his plan would have been to "buy the slaves and free them."

White House hopeful Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) said Sunday that the U.S. is moving toward fascism, stating that corporations are increasingly “running the show” and citizens are being deprived of their liberties. Paul clarified that he did not refer to the type of fascism that Adolf Hitler practiced in Germany. “We’re not moving toward Hitler-type fascism, but we’re moving toward a softer fascism,” Paul said on NBC’s Meet the Press. “Loss of civil liberties, corporations running the show, big government in bed with big business.” The lawmaker said the U.S. is moving toward “corporatism.” He also lashed out at a...

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Texas Rep. Ron Paul refused to rule out a third party bid Sunday if he fails to win the Republican Party presidential nomination. When Tim Russert of NBC’s 'Meet the Press' asked the Texas congressman if he’d consider an independent bid, he replied: "I have no intention of doing that." When pressed by Russert to state unequivocally that he would not, Paul demurred. "I deserve one weasel wiggle now and then, Tim!" Paul lost to Phil Gramm in the 1984 Texas Republican primary for the U.S. Senate. Four years later, he ran for president as the Libertarian...

Eleven thousand copies of the U.S. Constitution stood piled yesterday in a garage, at the end of a cul-de-sac on White Pine Lane, outside of Manchester. A pickup truck from Long Island with a dozen bullet-hole stickers down its side was parked next to them. In the back was bathroom tissue, reams of paper and two dozen air mattresses. "We need to buy coffee, frozen dinners, eggs, and bread," said Vijay Boyapati, who paid $5,000 to rent the house through Jan. 10. "We're going to need to feed a small army." Boyapati, 29, is the man behind Operation Live Free...

On Nov. 5, supporters of Ron Paul raked in more than $4.2 million in donations in 24 hours, mostly of them collected over the Internet. Today, they're at it again. Hoping to detonate what they call a "money bomb," the supporters started fundraising at midnight Saturday and have already raised $2 million as of about 10:30 a.m. today, more than at this point on Nov. 5, according to figures they posted online. They hope to collect a total of $10 million by midnight Sunday. Last time, they tied their fundraising to Guy Fawkes Day, which commemorates a British mercenary who...

Ron Paul may not win his party’s primary, but he is on track to capture another big title: Top Republican fundraiser for the final quarter of the money-obsessed 2008 presidential primary. In the first two months of the quarter that began Oct. 1, Paul already has raised more than $9.75 million, putting him easily within range to best the amount rival Mitt Romney received from donors during the entire third quarter. The Texas congressman has set a goal of raising $12 million before the fourth quarter’s Dec. 31st deadline, a sum New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani couldn’t achieve in the...

Republican Ron Paul said Sunday his upstart presidential campaign is on track to raise more than $12 million this quarter, boldly predicting the Iowa polls "are going to continue to shift" once he's finished spending it all. Speaking on CNN's "Late Edition," Paul said he had raised roughly $10.4 million so far in the quarter beginning Oct. 1, an amount that is already double the $5.2 million he pulled in during the third quarter. A big online fundraising effort planned for Dec. 16 could push the fourth quarter's total higher by several million, he said. "We are going to be...

The Ron Paul Juggernaut By David KnowlesNov 6th 2007 8:14AM This morning, a collective gasp of dismay was heard coming from the Republican party candidates for president. The news? Texas congressman Ron Paul has set a new GOP single-day fundraising record. In a 24-hour period Mr. Paul raised $4.2 Million dollars through on-line donations. The astonishing total suddenly has people wondering: Is this guy for real? Though he may not win the Republican nomination, his candidacy can no longer be written off as "the longest of long shots." He's raising top-tier money, and attracting thousands of new supporters every week,...

Second-tier presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) pulled off a first-rate fundraising coup, netting $4.3 million in online contributions from 38,000 donors in a single day, bringing his total haul to $7.3 million in 4Q 2007. No other Republican comes close to Paul’s 24-hour feat, but Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) has him beat at $6.2 million. Paul supporters flashed their cash in honor of Guy Fawkes Day, which commemorates the would-be assassin of England’s King James I on Nov. 5, 1605. Guy Fawkes was also the inspiration the novel-turned-movie "V for Vendetta," in which the lead character takes on a...

Pumped up by a record day of online fundraising, Republican presidential contender Ron Paul said Wednesday he hopes to do well in a New Hampshire campaign in which he's emerging as a potential spoiler or more. In an Associated Press interview, he said people startled by the $4.3 million take from his volunteer-led fundraising blitz Monday might be surprised on Election Day as well. "They said if the candidate doesn't call and pander to special interests you can't raise enough money. But here, we found out the campaign is very spontaneous and volunteers are coming," he said. "So, I would...

The Republican '08 hopeful has raised more than $7.5 million so far this quarter, partly reflecting the success of the Internet in drawing like-minded people together. Suddenly, Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul has become a money-making machine. As of 11:44 Wednesday morning, the libertarian-leaning, "get out of Iraq now" congressman from Texas had pulled in $7,556,621.90 in the quarter beginning Oct. 1. <snip> On Monday, an independent effort by Paul backers raised a stunning $4.2 million for his campaign, nearly all of it online. At the rate Paul is going, he will have a fourth-quarter funding total that rivals...

Phyllis Schlafly, conservatism's "first lady," had this to say about presidential candidate and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee: "He destroyed the conservative movement in Arkansas and left the Republican Party a shambles, yet some of the same evangelicals who sold us on George W. Bush as a 'compassionate conservative' are now trying to sell us on Huckabee." "He has zero intellectual underpinnings in the conservative movement," another of Huckabee's countless conservative detractors told the Wall Street Journal's John Fund. "He's hostile to free trade, hiked sales and grocery taxes, backed sales taxes on Internet purchases, and presided over state spending...

The Ron Paul Political Report October 15 1991 Volume V Number 10 Page 7 American Values? During the Iraq war, American troops were instructed to use specially equipped tanks to bulldoze the trenches that held Iraqi soldiers- Not a single American was hurt, so meager was the resistance. Thousands of Iraqis, teenagers coerced into the army by the dictator Hussein, were buried alive, while the unprecedented military tactic was hidden from the public through media censorship. Captain Benny Williams, who Led the charge was awarded the Silver Star for his role. Also hidden: the apparent fact that many of the...

Ron Paul Survival Report October 15 1993 Volume IX Number 10 Page 7 Somalian Quagmire Just when you thought that our troops might come home from Somalia, Clinton sends in 400 commandos to murder the "warlord" Aidid, one of the tribal leaders in Somalia's civil war. Since it's illegal for us to murder foreign leaders, the actual purpose of these commandos has been denied. Since the arrival of these troops, the hostility toward the Americans has grown. More bloodshed is surely on the way. One day we had a kinder, gentler military feeding starving blacks. The next day, the military...

Ron Paul Survival Report May 15, 1993 Volume IX Number 5 Page 6 Defense Cuts? In spite of all the rhetoric minimal cuts will be made in the military budget. The "savings" are gained by cutting back on proposed increases. For 1994 Clinton has asked for $278 billion. That's only $2 billion less than Bush had requested. Over the next five years, Clinton has proposed an additional $12 billion more than Bush had asked fior. And that doesn't mean that it will happen. Essentially Clinton's proposals will maintain military spending at Cold War levels over the next five years, to...

Ron Paul Survival Report October 15 1993 Volume IX Number 10 Page 8 Occasional Truth It's odd to hear someone admit the real reason for any government program, much less those that benefit the military-industrial sector. Yet Deputy Defense Secretary William Pery accidentally stated the truth recently when discussing nudear submarines, aircraft carriers, and tanks and other armored vehicles. "We need to maintain some sort of capability for designing, building and producing armed vehicles." Not a word about defense, the supposed reason we need these things in the first place. Perry also said some type of protection of these industries...

Is it just me or is someone pushing Ron Paul with some decades old information? An exercise in futility maybe. Even the Freeper poll has him as ... excuse me he's not there. He is a knowledgeable man, I'll give him that. However as a Veteran of 26 years in the military his recent comments on "It's our fault" place him in a camp to which I will never go. Maybe we'd better stick with tried and true conservatism.

Q&A: Presidential Candidate Ron Paul 'Freedom brings diversity. It brings people together. Big government divides us.' By Liz Halloran Posted November 9, 2007 What is your appeal? I think people are tired of what they're getting from their government. They don't believe it's working. They're angry. They believe they're being lied to when it comes to the economy. They believe they've been lied into going to war. And they're tired of it all, and they want change. Even though people poke fun at me—say that I don't look like the one to bring about change—I think I offer a different...
