The Nation’s Elie Mystal was at it once again Saturday during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Cross Connection.” Mystal reacted to an interview that former President Donald Trump had with radio host Hugh Hewitt earlier in the week, warning of the reaction if he were to be indicted. A non-profit group tied to Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors failed to report significant donations to the IRS, according to a new report. Dignity and Power Now, a group that Cullors founded in 2013 to help black and minority prisoners, brought in at least $225,000 in 2016, but only disclosed $50,000 to the IRS, according to the New York Post. Because the group claimed it took in only $50,000, it did not have to file a return or outline all of its spending and donations to the IRS.

Business owners and residents in New York City are expressing fury at the revelation that prosecutors have dropped looing and rioting charges against hundreds arrested during chaos that swept the city last summer. In a feisty segment on Sunday’s “A.M. Joy,” Elie Mystal of Above the Law made an inflammatory comment in which he said white people who voted for Donald Trump should be destroyed. This came after a segment in which he argued there is no moral difference between avowed white supremacists and any white person who votes for Trump. The dean of Yale Law School on Thursday responded to reports that a prominent professor at the school had advised students seeking judicial clerkships with Brett Kavanaugh on their physical looks, saying the reported allegations of faculty misconduct are "of enormous concern" and calling on anyone affected to come forward. According to reports in The Guardian, the Huffington Post and Above the Law, Amy Chua, a professor at the law school, would advise students on their physical appearance if they wanted to seek a clerkship for Kavanaugh. Specifically, Chua would help potential applicants to have a "model-like" appearance.

The release of the FBI's warrant, dated October 20, 2016, to seize and search a laptop computer related to Hillary's emails again confirms and reminds us that Hillary put our national security at "exceptionally grave danger" by her use of a private email server to conduct State Department business. Obama knew about her use but did nothing to stop it. The application for the warrant contains an affidavit of probable cause that details the reasons for the warrant.
