It’s something that you likely would never expect while driving down the highway. However, Nicole Bjanes says she is lucky to be alive after a freak accident along I-4 in Orlando earlier this week. Bjanes told WESH that a vehicle in front of her ran over a turtle in the middle lane of the highway. Somehow, the turtle ended up crashing through her windshield, hitting the passenger’s seat and coming to rest on the dashboard. Bjanes walked away with just a few cuts. Amazingly, the turtle survived and appeared to be uninjured. Emergency crews looked it over before releasing it...

My feeling is that the Boeing 777 then meandered out aimlessly over the ocean with its dead pilots till its fuel was exhausted.  It was a tragic accident, not a conspiracy or crime.  They turned left to come home, not to flee, steal, or murder.  It just went badly wrong.  The plane is in the ocean.  Floating debris will turn up sooner or later, and the black boxes will tell the final story. This is the last paragraph in my American Thinker article “Malaysia370. A tragic accident and nothing more,” published in March 2014, shortly after MH370 went missing...

Around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, a tractor-trailer swerved and hit a barrier, which split the trailer wide open. I-70 was closed for several hours while crews cleaned up the mess. The truck driver was not seriously hurt in the crash. Foggy conditions in the area may have played a role in the crash.

A festive partygoer owes her life to the skintight Ł35 ‘bodycon’ dress she squeezed into before going out, after it stopped her bones piercing her organs in a horrific car accident. Zoe Turner’s dress acted ‘like a corset’ and stopped bones popping out and causing fatal internal injuries after her taxi was hit by a cement mixer. Doctors told the 21-year-old that the dress almost certainly saved her life, after Ms Turner and three friends were left badly hurt in the crash. She said: ‘I couldn’t believe my dress saved my life. That’s the best Ł35 I’ve ever spent. ‘Although...

Tamir Rice's father should be absolutely ashamed of himself for not teaching his son that playing with guns (which have been doctored to look real) in public and not listening to policemen with real weapons will get you killed. I realize that his father, Leonard Warner, has a criminal history, but that should only make him more ashamed that he hadn't taught his son simple survival skills, and what a mistake it is to play chicken with the cops. Someone should do a quick anecdotal study about how many of these kids involved in these high-profile shootings (Trayvon Martin, Michael...

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Workers are preparing to enter one of the most dangerous rooms on the Hanford Nuclear Reservation — the site of a 1976 blast that exposed a technician to a massive dose of radiation, leading to him being nicknamed the "Atomic Man." Harold McCluskey was working in the room when a chemical reaction caused a glass glove box to explode. He was exposed to the highest dose of radiation from the chemical element americium ever recorded — 500 times the occupational standard. Hanford, located in central Washington state, made plutonium for nuclear weapons for decades. The room...
