Just in time for Christmas: ATF Deputy Director Kenneth Melson as the Grinch. "Idle bureaucrats are the devil's playthings." So, the ATF doubles down on stupidity with this ruling from the Grinch. I can't wait to see the PR consequences of this one, and, better, what the GOP oversight committees dig out about the hows and whys of the agency covering for the oversteps of a moronic field supervisor. I love it. What I'd love even more is to watch while Melson takes his life in his own hands and actually SHOOTS one of these ATF-modified Airsofts while holding it....

Felons, illegal immigrants and all others banned from buying a gun in the United States have a new alternative if they’re looking to get their hands on a firearm: Just buy a toy. A FoxNews.com investigation reveals that a popular recreational pellet gun can be converted easily to a real semi-automatic weapon. And while the federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is already aware of the issue, these “toys” -- new, top-of-the-line airsoft rifles -- continue to be sold throughout the country.

“The airsoft can be converted to an AR-15,” firearms manufacturer Leo Gonnuscio told FoxNews.com after testing the make and model of airsoft guns seized by the ATF. Having concluded that several other airsoft guns could not be converted to fire real ammunition, Gonnuscio said he was surprised to find that he was able to to transform this particular gun to the real thing -- and with “minimal work,” because its bottom half, or “receiver,” is so similar to an AR-15's. To make the airsoft receiver function just like an AR-15’s, Gonnuscio said, “All you have to do is drill one...

CORNELIUS, Ore. - A local business owner is flabbergasted after a shipment of 30 toy guns for his store was confiscated by ATF agents in Tacoma. Brad Martin and his son, Ben, sell the Airsoft BB guns from their store in Cornelius where they’ve been in business for seven years. The Martins said they buy their stock from Taiwan because the merchandise is less expensive. But the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives seized a shipment of 30 in October. That shipment is worth around $12,000 and the ATF is promising to destroy the entire shipment. Special Agent Kelvin...

United States Customs seized 30 M4 look alike Airsoft rifles, pictured left, in Tacoma. The Feds claim they can be easily be converted to actually shoot full automatic with live ammunition. BATFE says that parts could be switched out quickly to allow them to fire live ammunition. This is sure to cause huge differences of opinion over whether the Airsoft gun can actually be easily converted to actually fire 5.56mm ammunition on full automatic. These toy rifles look like M4’s. They do not have the bright orange tips to show they are toys. BATFE Agents say that they feel like...

Muslim outrage over 'corporate war game' where office workers shoot enemies dressed as ArabsLast updated at 15:06pm on 7th April 2008 Muslim leaders condemned a new war game where teams of soldiers shoot at enemies - dressed as Arabs. Men in camouflaged military gear battle opponents wearing shemaghs - the traditional headdress of Arab men - at Zulu 1 Tactical Airsoft Simulations. Participants use replica machine guns, pistols and sniper rifles which fire 6mm BB rounds at a 20-acre former RAF hospital in Nocton, Lincs. Images from the company's website show soldiers pointing rifles at hooded "Arab" men spreadeagled...

All right, I'm a member of this forum, Airsoft Forum, because I'm into Airsoft (next best thing to being in the military). Well, about two days ago, I try to get on the forum and it takes me to this YouTube page with a video about the end of America or something like that (what little I could tell just by the info provided by the poster was that they included 'proof' that 911 was an inside job) Believe me I was totally bewildered as to what was going on. I got on today and it was back to normal....

STATEMENT This bill would clarify that “airsoft” guns constitute firearms and therefore are subject to this State’s strict laws regulating the sale, possession, and use of firearms. Airsoft guns are replica firearms used primarily for sporting and recreational purposes, including military games. They use compressed-air, gas, or spring or electric-operated pistons to shoot non-metallic pellets or balls. Because these guns shoot plastic rather than metal pellets, it is not clear under current law whether they are considered firearms similar to “BB” guns. Therefore, the bill revises the definition of a firearm by specifying that any air gun, spring gun, gun...
