I was at a pro-immigration rally where I live, and I got to see the protest - the type I saw on TV, right up close. This protest was not spontaneous, it was highly organized. In the protest were a few people with some signs that offended me, saying some things about white people, the kind of thing Rush and FOX would pick up on. The designated organizers, with bullshorns and an orange vest, told these people with these racist signs in no uncertain terms that they would not be a part of the main group. The “tea party” movement,...

Ayn Rand testifying at the House Un-American Activities Committee on October 20, 1947. "You have no idea what it means to live in a country where nobody has any concern except food, where all the conversation is about food because everybody is so hungry that that is all they can think about and that is all they can afford to do. They have no idea of politics. They have no idea of any pleasant romances or love — nothing but food and fear." That’s the existence of people living under communism and totalitarianism.

WASHINGTON – Political novice Rand Paul rode support from tea party activists to a rout in Kentucky's Republican Senate primary Tuesday night, jolting the GOP establishment. Democratic Sen. Arlen Specter lost his struggle for political survival in Pennsylvania, a five-term incumbent offering experience to voters clamoring for change. Another Democratic incumbent, Sen. Blanche Lincoln, led narrowly in early returns in her race for nomination to a third term in Arkansas, but she risked being thrown into a costly run-off. In a fourth race with national implications, Democrat Mark Critz moved ahead of Republican Tim Burns in a contest to fill...

I can't begin to explain how hard I laughed watching this kid. What is he, some unemployed weirdo making videos in his mommy's basement? Take into consideration he admires one of the worst mass-murderers of the 20th century. Let's watch and have a laugh.

The Reluctant Anarchist by Joseph Sobran My arrival (very recently) at philosophical anarchism has disturbed some of my conservative and Christian friends. In fact, it surprises me, going as it does against my own inclinations. As a child I acquired a deep respect for authority and a horror of chaos. In my case the two things were blended by the uncertainty of my existence after my parents divorced and I bounced from one home to another for several years, often living with strangers. A stable authority was something I yearned for. Meanwhile, my public-school education imbued me with the sort...
