Contribute songs, videos, poems, anecdotes, pictures, anything at all that commemorates New York City, the life there both good and bad, high and low brow, the previous attacks (Such as Osama Step Right Up and Kiss My Rosy Irish Arse [composed by one of the firemen of 9/11]). We did it for the country music festival in Vegas. Let's do it for New York, New York. I started it out with Sinatra for a source URL. Please add your own contributions.

I live in Adams County. I went to the corner deli for Lunch today. As I was waiting for my sandwich I engaged in conversation with the woman owner (she is in her 60s) about the upcoming election. I said to her "In a week it will all be over" To which she replied "It has been absolutely crazy...but I know who I am voting for" I said, "I do too...and its NOT Hillary". As soon as I said that her eyes lit up and she went on a 5 minute tirade....the jist of which went something like this. "...

Lisa was reported missing early on the morning of Oct. 4. "Investigative interviews with the people involved revealed conflicting information for clear direction in the investigation," an affidavit supporting the warrant said. In the days before electrolysis, the metal could only be extracted from its ore, bauxite, by a process involving pure sodium; itself an exceptionally rare and expensive metal. As a result, he would tell us, the king of France kept two sets of cutlery for dinner: everyday fare and minor functionaries dined with golden knives and forks, whereas for special occasions and particularly honoured guests, the aluminium would be brought out. It is a measure of how times change that today some 36 million tonnes of aluminium are produced globally every year, making it abundant enough to be practically disposable....

I thought maybe a humor break might do the site and some Freepers a little good. Here is some contributions from yours truly and lets see if anyone can top these. Plus try bumping a few people to the thread. The more the merrier: ______________________________________________________ Out The Window Al Gore and the Clintons are flying on Air Force One. Bill looks at Al, chuckles and says, "You know, I could throw a $10,000 bill out the window right now and make one person very happy." Al shrugs his stiff shoulders and says, "Well, I could throw ten $1,000 bills out...

CHICAGO SCANDALS REACH DALEY'S DOOR Associated Press Tuesday, October 28, 1997; 6:56 a.m. EST BY JAMES WEBB Associated Press Writer EXCERPT: Daley scolded minority aldermen and low-level city and county workers who fell to federal probes involving illegal dumping and no-show workers who are friends or relatives of public officials. In July, he pushed grumbling aldermen to adopt ethics rules governing their conduct. But political observers say the behavior pales by comparison to the behind-the-scenes relationships getting attention now. "What's different now is the light has finally shown on where the real money is being made," said Alderman Joe Moore,...
