  • How is the NY truck incident a "cowardly" act?

News | 31 October 2017 | Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin
How is the truck attack a cowardly act? I have absolutely no defense for the murderer and think he should be summarily tried and executed. However, really, how was his attack cowardly? He ran over people knowing what the consequences were going to be and jumped out with useless "guns" knowing he would be shot. How is that cowardly? Takes a lot of guts (no pun intended at all), if you ask me. When law enforcement should be saying we are going to kick asses and take names, all they can say is that this was a "cowardly act". Looks...

  • Myths of dominance - China did not ever enjoy military or cultural supremacy in Asia

    The Telegraph, India ^ | August 30, 2017 | Kanwal Sibal
Caption -- Borobudur: hardly Chinese The author is former foreign secretary of India sibalkanwal@gmail.com The West has built a lot of myths about China which others, including in India, have accepted without challenge. That China was for centuries the dominant power in Asia and is now on the way to recovering that lost status is one such myth. This historical distortion is serving to legitimize China's hegemonic ambitions, as if China has the right to recover its natural position in Asia and any resistance amounts to denying the Chinese their due. This explains why even when China is aggressive...

According to a Fox News Exclusive report, the President Trump administration is considering a Camp-David style Arab peace summit. Those who have followed the administration’s structural activity all year will see this as a natural progression of events within the alliance formed by President Trump and the Mid-East coalition. The four major allies within the growing alliance, Egypt, Saudi, UAE and Bahrain, as well as other moderates supportive of the larger objectives to restore stability, are currently engaged in a campaign to change the outlook of Qatar and stop their support for the Muslim Brotherhood. A peace summit around their...

Jan Markell and Eric Barger talk to Pastor Bill Randles about the Muslim world in prophecy. Islam makes headlines daily and is prominent as it concerns eschatology. Barack Obama opened this door with his June, 2009 speech in Cairo. Since then Islam-related prophetic events have been building and setting the stage for fulfillment.

Arab airlines beat Trump’s electronics ban with sarcasm and jokesUS President Donald Trump's controversial ban on electronic devices on flights from Muslim-majority countries began Saturday. But instead of condemning the move, Arab carriers took advantage of it as a fun PR boost and to promote their products… The US announced, to much fanfare on March 21, a ban on electronic devices for passengers on nine Arab airlines to place personal electronic devices, such as tablets, e-readers, laptops and cameras, in their checked baggage, with mobile phones still allowed. The decision has caused indignation across the Middle East and North...

It sounded dramatic: The leaders of 50 Syrian Arab tribes met in Sanliurfa, Turkey, and announced they would set up the Army of Al-Jazirah and Euphrates Tribes to end Russian and Iranian occupation of Syria and cleanse the Euphrates and Al Jazeera areas of the Islamic State (IS), the Kurdish nationalist Democratic Union Party/Kurdistan Workers Party (PYD/PKK), Hezbollah and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Sheikh Rafi al Raco Ukla represented the Shaitat tribe. ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi issued a statement acknowledging the group's defeat in Iraq, as he urged supporters to either hide or flee, Iraqi television network, Alsumaria, quoted local sources as saying. According to the sources in the Iraqi governorate of Nineveh, Al-Baghdadi's statement was titled 'farewell speech' and was distributed among ISIS' preachers and clerics on Tuesday. Al-Baghdadi ordered the closure of the ISIS office regulating their fighters and ordered non-Arab fighters to either return to their countries or detonate themselves, promising them "72 women in heaven." Many of ISIS' leaders in Iraq has now fled towards the group's...

The CEO of Twitter seemingly believes America is currently experiencing civil unrest comparable to the Arab Spring, a series of revolutionary protests, coups and civil wars in the Arab world a few years ago. While the social media company appears to be treading water after a rough past few months, which includes a number of high-level staff departures and a sinking valuation, Twitter Founder Jack Dorsey sees his platform’s influence in society remaining largely the same, if not growing. “A lot of the same patterns we’ve seen during the Iranian Green Revolution and the Arab Spring,” Dorsey said Wednesday at...

In times of such political turmoil in the United States, where thousands of citizens are against President Donald Trump's refugee travel ban and deem it targeting Muslims particularly, one intriguing trivia has surfaced about America's Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty -- America's symbol of freedom and acceptance of diversity -- could actually have been modelled on a Muslim woman, after all. This news is of significance considering Trump's executive order has banned people from at least seven Muslim-majority countries to enter into the United States, citing 'terrorism concerns.' Reports state that the statue's designer, Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi, a French...

Police said Abdelkhaliq was arrested and "kept making threats" to kill the officers as he was being taken to jail.

It is difficult to say who will be elected by American people, but the world (except for sterile Western Europe) has made its choice. And this choice, in spite of formal logic, is the "racist," "sexist," "imperialist," "Islamophobe" Donald Trump. In New York, the President of Egypt, el-Sisi, has met with Trump and characterized him as a "strong leader." The presidents of the Czech Republic and Hungary, Milos Zeman and Viktor Orban, urged Americans to elect Trump. According to Orban, Trump would be a better leader than Obama, and Zeman compared him with Reagan. Russia, Israel and the Arab monarchies...

Video An Arab-American supporter of Donald Trump was chased and beaten by an angry mob during a Black Lives Matter protest in southern California Wednesday. Feras Jabro, a 21-year old San Diego resident, was attacked by demonstrators in El Cajon, California who had gathered to protest the recent shooting of a local man by police. But when protesters noticed Jabro’s “Make America Great Again” hat – a symbol of support for the campaign of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump – some in the crowd went berserk, charging Jabro, who attempted to flee. The unfortunate Trump supporter was cornered, however, and...
