BANGKOK (AP) — Thai police investigating a strong smell emanating from a Buddhist temple have found more than 2,000 fetuses hidden in the complex's morgue that appear to have come from illegal abortion clinics. During an initial investigation at the temple in Bangkok on Tuesday, police discovered piles of plastic bags containing more than 300 fetuses. Police Lt. Col. Kanathud Musiganont said workers pulled more bodies from the temple's morgue Friday. More than 2,000 have been unearthed from vaults where bodies are traditionally interred pending cremation, which under some circumstances can take place years after death. Abortion is illegal in...

Yesterday evening, I wrote about CNN’s use of an obvious fake video ( see here : http://hotair.com/archives/2009/01/08/cnn-stung-by-fake-atrocity-video), sourced from Hamas’ webmaster, of an alleged Israeli attack on two young boys playing on a roof. After being exposed by blogs, CNN took the video down without any explanation. As of 4:30 pm ET today, though, the video has returned to CNN’s site ( SEE HERE : http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/world/2009/01/07/holmes.gaza.boy.cnn ), although they seem to have turned off the embedding for it. I saw this segment earlier on CNN and wondered at the time how easily this could have been faked. Pretty darned easily, as LGF discovered, and the questions start where the fakery seems most obvious: The story was supposedly that a freelance journalist in Gaza returned home to find his younger brother dead, the victim of a missile attack on a residential rooftop from an unmanned IDF drone. The video shows the supposed scene of the attack, and follows the Gaza family from the hospital to the burial, after a heroic attempt by doctors to revive the young child. Only,...

The video game is part of a "confrontational art" exhibit by Chicago-based artist Wafaa Bilal. In the 3-D game, "The Night of Bush Capturing; A Virtual Jihadi," players are sent on a mission to kill President George W. Bush. PLAINVILLE - His patients came to Dr. Bill Petit's medical office Monday in tears. After learning that Petit's wife and two daughters were killed Monday during a home invasion in Cheshire, they turned for comfort and answers to the place where they knew him best. "Why?" said one patient who entered the office, sobbing uncontrollably. A nurse on staff comforted her. The news seemed unbelievable, senseless suffering for a prominent family that by all accounts is warm, giving, and singularly dedicated to the community. Disturbing video footage of post-mortem examinations on dismembered tiny bodies raises serious questions about what happened to them. Hizbollah Caught Planning an AtrocityAugust 2, 2006: Israeli troops operating in south Lebanon captured a Hezbollah safe house, and found the usual weapons and other equipment, as well as a supply of Israeli Defense Force uniforms. This indicated plans to stage a major "atrocity." Committed, as the evidence would clearly show, by Israeli troops. But perhaps this will never happen, for Israeli raids into southern Lebanon have captured many Hizbollah documents, as well as some live Hizbollah members. These, combined with Israeli electronic eavesdropping, reports from agents inside Lebanon, give the Israelis a pretty good idea of what Hizbollah is...

Sorry about the vanity. It is my first and hopefully my last, but this has me pretty well boiling. I did a real double take this evening during Bill O'Reilly's conversation with General Wesley Clark. Talking about past incidents of wartime atrocities, O'Reilly twice mentioned Malmedy. The first time I merely thought it was out of place in what otherwise seemed to be a listing of atrocities committed against American troops. However, when Clark pushed him a little, O'Reilly spouted on about Malmedy being a massacre of SS Troops by Americans. It was, of course, precisely the opposite, but the...

WASHINGTON (AP) - Military investigators probing the deaths last November of about two dozen Iraqi civilians have evidence that points toward unprovoked murders by Marines, a senior defense official said Friday. The Marine Corps initially reported 15 deaths and said they were caused by a roadside bomb and an ensuing firefight with insurgents. A separate investigation is aimed at determining if Marines lied to cover up the events, which included the deaths of women and children. If confirmed as unjustified killings, the episode could be the most serious case of criminal misconduct by U.S. troops during three years of combat...

None of the nation's thousands of newspapers, television stations and news websites carried any details of the protests that took the capital by storm on Saturday. On Sunday, hundreds of full-gear riot police blocked access to the diplomatic quarter in downtown Beijing, but avoided direct confrontation with protesters. In sharp contrast with the full...

This week's Indonesian court verdict against Abu Bakar Bashir on 'evil conspiracy' charges meted out a pickpocket's punishment to a terrorist ringleader responsible for an atrocity second only to 9/11. Bashir's 2 ½ year sentence for the October 2002 Bali nightclub bombing is a parody of justice and an insult to the lost lives of the U.S., Australian, Indonesian and other citizens who died in the attack. This sentence is especially bitter because the U.S. and Australia have expended so much blood and treasure to rid the world of terrorism elsewhere in Asia. But in Indonesia, there is no justice...

New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) has long been rumored as desperately seeking the democratic nomination for president in 2008. And while many political observers fully expect the power hungry former First Lady to hit the campaign trail within only a few months of being re-elected as a US Senator in 2006, US News & World report claims to have a confirmation of sorts. From USNews.Com's Washington Whispers: Hillary's in… You don't have to take it from us about Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton 's desire to run for president. Her brothers, Hugh and Tony Rodham, say it's true. Friends...

SAN FRANCISCO (News Frontiers) – The U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that a man required to wear a signboard stating "I stole mail. This is my punishment," outside a San Francisco post office was unreasonably sanctioned. The 9th Circuit overturned a lower federal court's order that required mail thief and activist George Soarass to wear the sign, noting the public humiliation was intended to "break" him of an illusion he had committed a “victimless” crime. Paired with requiring Soarass to write apologies and lecture at a high school, the "somewhat crude" condition he wear the signboard provided...

The tragedy in Russia is not a surprise to me. The muslim fanatics from Chechnya are trying to steal an oil rich province that has belonged to Russia since 1812. Imagine Mexicans trying to take back, thru force, California. My fellow American's, how would you feel and what would you do? Answer- It would be bloody murder in the streets of Mexico City. Here are a few questions for Mr. Putin- Why are the Russians soft with the muslim extremists? Why does Russia blindly support radical middle eastern countries (i.e. Saddam's Iraq, Iran, Syria)? Why is Russia building Iran a...

Amnesty International Outraged at Execution of a 16 Year Old Girl! Public Statement Amnesty International today expressed its outrage at the reported execution of a girl who is believed to be 16 years old, Ateqeh Rajabi, in Neka in the northern Iranian province of Mazandaran, on 15 August, for "acts incompatible with chastity" (amal-e manafe-ye 'ofat). Ateqeh Rajabi was reportedly publicly hanged on a street in the city centre of Neka. Amnesty International is alarmed that this execution was carried out despite reports that Ateqeh Rajabi was not believed to be mentally competent, and that she reportedly did not have...

Here is an old article from WND. It further puts the Abu Ghraib Abuses in perspective. Like many of you, I have been struggling to understand why the French have behaved as they do regarding the United States. As this is one subject fraught with opinion but very little fact, a bit of digging seemed to be in order. Some of the trail led to Africa, where France has continued its century-long, "sphere of influence" (read as "assumed ownership") of parts of that continent. France has regularly behaved in a such a well-documented, murderous manner that, were it the United...

DO NOT FORGET I sat in a movie theatre watching "Schindler's List," and asked myself, "Why didn't the Jews fight back?" I sat in a movie theatre watching "Pearl Harbor," and asked myself, "Why weren't we prepared?" Now I know why. Civilized people cannot fathom, much less predict, the actions of evil people. On September 11, thousands of innocent people were murdered because too many Americans naively rejected the reality that some nations are dedicated to the dominance of others. Many political pundits, pacifists and media personnel want us to forget the carnage. They say we must focus on the...

Kristinn just called me and asked me to post this thread. He just called CBS Evening News and asked them if they were going to show the militant Islamists' video of the beheading of American Nick Berg. The woman who answered the phone said that they were going to do a story on it, but they were NOT going to show the full video. He asked them, "Why not, since you had no problem showing the pictures of the Iraqis being abused by our guys in the prison. Don't you think turnabout is fair play?"The woman got mad and said, "Thank you...
