• David Hogg mocks Oliver North: ‘You would know about terrorism, wouldn’t you?’

Oliver North called America’s new youth gun-control activists “civil terrorists”; the movement’s public face trolled back Thursday with an Iran-Contra joke. David Hogg took to Twitter to mock Mr. North, the new president of the National Rifle Association as someone who knows all about terrorism. Mr. Hogg retweeted a Salon article commenting on an interview with The Washington Times in which Mr. North said of the Florida school-shooting victims such as Mr. Hogg, “They’re not activists — this is civil terrorism.” The teenager replied: “#OnTheContra you would know about terrorism, wouldn’t you?”

Fox News host Laura Ingraham has apologized, as has the network, for nothing more serious than her tweet: "David Hogg rejected by four colleges to which he applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA ... totally predictable given acceptance rates.)" The 17-year-old Hogg, a survivor of the February 14 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, is the new face of the anti-gun movement, having achieved overnight victim status, reserved, apparently, only for those on the left, which supposedly insulates him from criticism. Hogg rejected Ingraham's apology and called her a...
• MSNBC's Joy Reid Has Atheist Trump-hater On To Talk About How Laura Ingraham ‘Betrayed’ Jesus

MSNBC pundit Joy Reid celebrated the holiest day in Christianity by providing a platform to an atheist Trump-hater who trashed Fox News host Laura Ingraham for “betraying” Jesus. “That’s where we are this Easter morning,” liberal activist Frank Schaeffer said on AM Joy. “We are in a moment of betrayal of the teaching of Jesus.” Schaeffer made the remarks while responding to Reid’s question about why President Trump enjoys such tremendous support among evangelical Christians “despite all of his flaws.” That’s when Schaeffer, the author of “Why I Am An Atheist Who Believes In God,” chimed in to trash both...

School shooting survivor and gun control activist David Hogg doubled down on his refusal to accept an apology from Fox News host Laura Ingraham in an interview with CNN on Saturday, as advertisers of her show announced they were ending their relationships with her after she mocked the teenager on Twitter for not getting into his top colleges. The senior student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas described Ingraham’s apology as disgusting, saying “she basically tried promoting her show after apologizing to me.”
• 'Russian Bots' Rallying Behind Embattled Fox News Host Laura Ingraham

04/01/2018 6:30:29 PM PDT · by ethom · 49 replies
Russia-linked Twitter accounts are rallying in support of Fox News host Laura Ingraham. According to one website that tracks Russian propaganda on Twitter in near-real time, the hashtag #istandwithlaura saw a 2800% jump in 48 hours. Another website that monitors Russia's disinformation campaign found that @ingrahamangle, @davidhogg11 were among the top six Twitter handles that Russia-linked accounts have tweeted at in the last 24 hours. Russian-linked accounts' capitalization on the Ingraham controversy comes after they flooded Twitter with messages and disinformation related to the Parkland school shooting, which claimed 17 lives in February. In the days immediately following the shooting,...
• Media Seek To Destroy Laura Ingraham Only Because She’s A Conservative Woman

The pretext being used to destroy a conservative woman, Fox News star Laura Ingraham, is that she accused a 17-year-old of “whining.” Even after apologizing to anti-gun activist David Hogg, the corporate media and the organized left, with a lot of help from gutless corporations, are still determined to dismantle Ingraham’s entire professional life — to shut a conservative woman up by removing her platform, all because she accused a teenager of “whining.” Keep in mind that Hogg is not just any 17-year-old. He is a foul-mouthed hurler of extremist, partisan venom and a shield for a media eager to...
• Media Matters distorts words again, this time to defend David Hogg

Media Matters has a long history of distorting what people have written or said (also here). After pointing out that Hogg’s attacks on others “has gone beyond any acceptable bounds of political discussion,” the point of Dr. Lott’s question was whether he should be treated to the same types of attacks that he levels at others. Presumably, most would realize that such attacks were “beyond any acceptable bounds.” Yet, people such as David Hogg and Timothy Johnson — as well as Media Matters — seem determined to make such attacks acceptable.

Drunk on his media-infused power, Parkland, Fla., high school student David Hogg has taken to targeting individual companies for advertising on Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle,” setting his sights on Arby’s. I hope they’ve stocked up on beef. A number of companies have pulled advertising from Ingraham’s show in response to a tweet Wednesday from the Fox News host about how Hogg “whines” online over being rejected by four colleges. The 17-year-old high school student, working in tandem with George Soros-backed Media Matters, called for a boycott after Ingraham’s tweet, sharing a list of her main advertisers online. (With...

The David Hogg experiment would be captivating if we were all just spectators, but the latest twist in the spectacle reveals a destructive element sure to metastasize quickly. Hogg said he "hung up on the White House the other day" after he received a call to attend Trump's listening session. He called the timing of the invitation "very offensive considering the fact that there were funerals the next day, there was mourning we still had to do." "I ended on this message with them. I said, 'We don't need to listen to President Trump. President Trump needs to listen to the screams of the children and the screams of this nation,'" Hogg said. Hogg also criticized the Florida legislature for not discussing an assault weapons ban, but instead...

David Hogg, a survivor of the Parkland, Florida high school shooting, told Morning Joe on Monday that he thinks Gov. Rick Scott should be “held accountable” for the failure of three sheriff’s deputies to confront the gunman. Law enforcement sources confirmed to news outlets that three deputies from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office remained outside Marjory Stoneman Douglas High as the shooter opened fire, eventually killing 17 people. Hogg, appearing on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, said the news is “raising concern” in his community, before accusing elected officials of attempting the blame the shooting on “bureaucracy.” “They’re in charge of them,” Hogg said of those elected officials. “This is their fault.” “They should have been regulating them,” he continued. “I’m not going to allow them to pressure these people because at the end of the day it’s their fault. These elected officials are the boss of these sheriff personnel and just like the president is the boss of the FBI, Governor Rick Scott is essentially the boss of Scott Israel, the sheriff, and as such he should be held accountable. “He can’t just blame this on the bureaucracy and expect to get re-elected.” Hogg went on to praise high school football coach Aaron Feis, who died shielding students from the gunman, “unlike those cowardly Broward County Sheriff officials.” “Sadly, these are a few individuals that did not conduct their job correctly, but I don’t think it’s right that Governor Rick Scott is trying to blame this on the bureaucracy in an effort to get reelected.”

More evidence that Parkland student-turned-gun-control-celebrity David Hogg has gone on a power trip. Two days ago, we noted Hogg threatening to “take care” of FedEx if it didn’t drop its affiliation with the NRA. Appearing on Morning Joe today, Hogg declared “I’m not to going allow” Governor Scott to blame Sheriff Israel regarding the shooting. Hogg claimed Israel is merely part of the “bureaucracy,” whereas “elected officials” like Scott “are in charge of them. This is their fault . . . Gov. Rick Scott is essentially the boss of Scott Israel.” Get the rest of the story and view the...

One of the Parkland school shooting survivors is calling on tourists to boycott the State of Florida for spring break as a way to get legislators’ attention focused on gun control. “Let's make a deal DO NOT come to Florida for spring break unless gun legislation is passed,” David Hogg, a Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student who is a leader in the #neveragain movement, posted on Twitter on Saturday. Hogg said he hoped his tweet would make state politicians listen if the “billion-dollar tourism industry in Florida” makes gun control measures a priority. “If the legislators aren’t going to...
