The Michael Moore Freedom of Speech Scholarship will award two $2,500 annual scholarships to Cal State San Marcos students "who have done the most to fight for issues of student rights by standing up to the administration," according to a news release issued Wednesday. What's fat and white and still doesn't know it's all over? Michael Moore. Yes, the hairy, four-eyed, film-hustling freak has yet to accept the will of the American people and President Bush's re-election. That's right; "Shamoo with a camera" is still out there bashing America and the War on Terrorism. His latest attempt: promoting a global day of protest on the two-year anniversary of the Iraq invasion. This time Michael Moore is eating (I mean, teaming) with an organization called United for Peace and Justice. The global day of protest is set for Saturday, March 19th and calls for vigils,...

© 2004 WorldNetDaily.com Michael Moore (courtesy United Artists) Don't blame Hollywood for Sen. John Kerry's defeat in the presidential election last month, says filmmaker Michael Moore, who insists activist entertainers made the race closer than it would have been otherwise. Reacting to charges that his polarizing activism galvanized Republicans, Moore -- director of the provacative, anti-Bush film "Fahrenheit 9/11" -- contended Kerry lost the race simply because he was "not the best candidate." "For the last month, we've had to listen to a lot of conservative pundits talk about how Democrats need to run away from Hollywood," Moore told reporters before addressing...

Michael Moore insists he will arrange a television programme for the night before the US election, after a planned showing of Fahrenheit 9/11 was cancelled. Meanwhile an anti-Moore documentary has come under fire for allegedly misrepresenting one of its interviewees. In Demand, a US cable channel, had been planning a Michael Moore Election Eve Special, including a screening of Fahrenheit 9/11 and interviews with anti-Bush celebrities. Citing "legitimate legal and business concerns", In Demand has now cancelled the show. Characteristically, Moore told the AP news agencies that In Demand had bowed to pressure from "top Republicans". New York - A cable pay-per-view company has decided not to show a three-hour election eve special with filmmaker Michael Moore that included a showing of his documentary ``Fahrenheit 9/11,'' which is sharply critical of President Bush. The company, iN DEMAND, said Friday that its decision is due to ``legitimate business and legal concerns.'' A spokesman would not elaborate. LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- The Michigan Republican Party is asking four county prosecutors to file charges against filmmaker Michael Moore, charging that he illegally offered underwear, noodles and snacks to college students in exchange for their promise to vote. "We want everyone to participate in this year's election, but not because they were bribed or coerced by the likes of Michael Moore," said Greg McNeilly, executive director of the state Republican Party. The GOP said it asked prosecutors in Wayne, Ingham, Antrim and Isabella counties to charge Moore with violating Michigan's election law. The law prohibits a person from contracting...

I admire the courage of astronaut John Glenn. He has led our great nation into space and slipped the bounds of Earth's atmosphere as he sped off into the aether. Only this time, he neglected to suit up and travel on a rocket. John Glenn had this to say regarding the recent GOP convention. Former senator John Glenn (D-Ohio) took the defense a step further by comparing the Republicans' misleading statements to those of Nazi Germany. Reports that Michael Moore was gracious and friendly to convention goers may be unfounded. Here's what Blackwell observed: "In this hallway here [just outside the convention arena] roughly a half hour before [McCain refered to Moore as a 'disingenuous filmmaker'] a conservative lady from a mid-western state, whom I happen to know, went up to him [Moore] as he was walking and said something like 'May God save you' -- in essence, in a very nice Christian way, calling on him...

Michael Moore's much-disparaged film could actually change the course of civilisation, writes John Berger. Fahrenheit 9/11 is astounding. Not so much as a film - although it is cunning and moving - but as an event. Most commentators try to dismiss the event and disparage the film. Let's explore why. The artists on the Cannes film festival jury apparently voted unanimously to award Michael Moore's film the Palme d'Or. Since then it has touched many millions across the world. In the United States, its box-office takings for the first six weeks amounted to more than $US100 million ($A142 million), which...

Michael Moore's fakery fest "Fahrenheit 9/11" features in one of its scenes a newspaper headline that reads: "Latest Florida recount shows Gore won election." The words were apparently designed to perpetuate the myth that Bush "stole" the 2000 presidential election. A lawyer for the Pantagraph newspaper in Bloomington, Ill., sent a letter to Moore accusing him of misappropriating the headline from the Pantagraph's pages. The headline did appear in the Pantagraph, but only on the letters-to-the-editor page, and was intended only to reflect the letter writer's sentiments. USA Today is often dismissed by critics as the "McPaper"; it is apparently considered risible in some circles that, like McDonald's and unlike, say, the New York Times, a newspaper should serve up something that people across the country actually want. For those on the go, USA Today provides a concise and to-the-point approach to the news that its more prestigious competitors lack. ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Let me start off by introducing myself. My name is Alex Hughes. I'm a junior majoring in political science and history. I'm also the new conservative columnist for the Lobo, so hopefully I can make some of you laugh while making the rest of you want to march to my door, torches in hand, calling for blood. As you all probably know, Michael Moore and I celebrated our favorite holiday last week -- Canada Day and our Independence Day, respectively -- so I decided the only fitting tribute would be to write my own review of his...

Already praised by the Communist Party USA and the Revolutionary Communist Party, Michael Moore's hit film "Fahrenheit 9/11" has a new honor – great notices in the today's edition of the Socialist Worker, the newspaper of the International Socialist Organization. "Millions upon millions of people in the U.S. are terrified at what George W. Bush has in store for them if he wins another four years in the White House," the story reads. "This is the secret of the success of Michael Moore’s 'Fahrenheit 9/11' – a documentary film that exposes the crimes of the Bush presidency, from the war...

"Fahrenheit 9/11" is making mega-bucks in American theaters and — with some help from terrorists who also are Michael Moore fans — it could prove a blockbuster in the Middle East too. The film industry publication Screendaily.com reports that the movie will soon debut in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain. “In terms of marketing,” Screendaily.com announces, Mr. Moore “is getting a boost from organizations related to Hezbollah.”  Yes, that Hezbollah: the Syrian- and Iranian-backed terrorist group that pioneered suicide bombings against Americans more than 20 years ago in Beirut, the terrorist group...

Friends, Where do I begin? This past week has knocked me for a loop. "Fahrenheit 9/11," the #1 movie in the country, the largest grossing documentary ever. My head is spinning. Didn't we just lose our distributor 8 weeks ago? Did Karl Rove really fail to stop this? Is Bush packing? Each day this week I was given a new piece of information from the press that covers Hollywood, and I barely had time to recover from the last tidbit before the next one smacked me upside the head: ** More people saw "Fahrenheit 9/11" in one weekend than all...

The link above goes to the ABC website showing the tape obtained by Time magazine this week showing a terrorist bombing, killing three US soldiers, under the heading, "Terror Tape". As an aside, guess who is on the cover of Time this week. Yep the rotund America hater, michael moore, who said that he had cameramen in Iraq. Also of interest. The working title for this piece is “Michael Moore Is A Large Bloated Moron and Other Observations.” Since newspapers routinely change the author’s original headline, it was necessary to work that in so that you, Dear Reader, will perfectly understand where this piece is going. First, you will notice that the title is similar to that of a book written by a “comic” and now talk show host named Al Franken. We thought it would be all right to lift Mr. Franken’s title since he’s a political soul mate of Moore’s and since Mr. Moore lifted the title of his...

  • Parallels between Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 and Goebbels' Der ewige Jude

Micheal Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 propaganda film style reminds of Joseph Goebbels' Der ewige Jude {The Eternal Jew}. The parallels are unmistakable. Crude and full of half truths, some segemts are absurdly laughable. They both play fast and loose with the truth to create support for a lie. For example, notice the footage of a kosher slaughter {still row 22} where a jewish rabbi is falsely shown to be gleeful because a cow is bleeding to death. They both rely on a heap of innuendo and conspiracy theories, that if to be belived, one must take a leap of faith: -Goebbels...
