Top-ranking Republicans are trying to stamp out digital vaccine passports, that would allow businesses to check if customers are inoculated against COVID-19. The White House is working on a private sector-driven initiative to help businesses identify people that have been vaccinated, as venues reopen and travel begins to pick up. New York has already developed its own version, dubbed the “Excelsior Pass.” The digital app doesn’t display the user’s health information, and will be required for vaccinated customers to gain entry to large venues like Madison Square Garden.

The U.S. government now holds political prisoners in jail in the nation’s capital, and the party that purports to stand for freedom, liberty, and rule of law refuses to defend them.federal judge this week blasted a top Justice Department official for publicly bragging about the agency’s sprawling investigation into the January 6 Capitol melee. In an emergency hearing, U.S. District Court Judge Amit Mehta warned government prosecutors to keep quiet or face a gag order. Mehta fumed over comments made in a television interview by former acting U.S. Attorney Michael Sherwin—he led the first two months of the nationwide manhunt...
  • Pollak: Secret Republican Vote to Restore Earmarks Is a Betrayal of the Voters

"The House Republican Conference vote on Wednesday to restore earmarks was a betrayal of the voters, and undermined one of the remaining legacies of the Tea Party. The vote was close, 102-84, but that is no consolation, especially as it was by secret ballot, preventing voters from holding their representatives accountable."

Former President Donald Trump does not just lead the Republican Party still, he ostensibly owns it, according to the latest Suffolk University-USA Today poll released Sunday. By a near 2-to-1 margin, Republicans would leave the GOP to follow former President Donald Trump to a third party. "We feel like Republicans don't fight enough for us, and we all see Donald Trump fighting for us as hard as he can, every single day," Brandon Keidl, 27, Republican small-business owner from Milwaukee told USA Today after being polled. "But then you have establishment Republicans who just agree with establishment Democrats and everything,...
  • Sen. Thune Equates Primaries Against Republican Senators Who Voted to Convict Trump to Cancel Culture

Senator John Thune (R-SD), a coffee boy for Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), said that Republican voters attempting to punish senators who voted to convict former President Donald Trump during the Senate impeachment trial are engaging in “cancel culture.” Obviously, this man doesn’t have a clue what cancel culture is. How can we have politicians representing Republicans when they don’t even know what cancel culture is? Nobody is saying they want them silenced, and no one is saying they don’t think they should ever work again. They are simply exercising their Constitutional right to decide who will represent them...

Sen. John Thune is criticizing Republican activists and party leaders for engaging in “cancel culture” by rushing to censure GOP senators who found former President Donald Trump guilty of inciting an insurrection. In his first interview since he voted to acquit Trump, the Senate’s No. 2 Republican on Thursday defended fellow Republicans who sided with Democrats on the “vote of conscience” and warned against shutting out dissenting voices in the party. “There was a strong case made,” Thune said of the Democrats’ impeachment presentation. “People could come to different conclusions. If we’re going to criticize the media and the left...

Sen. John Thune, a top ally to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, said that those aiming to punish senators who voted to convict former President Donald Trump at his impeachment trial are engaging in "cancel culture." "There was a strong case made," Thune told the Associated Press about the House impeachment managers' arguments. "People could come to different conclusions. If we’re going to criticize the media and the left for cancel culture, we can’t be doing that ourselves." Trump in his lengthy statement this week also said, "[w]here necessary and appropriate, I will back primary rivals who espouse Making America...
  • As 2022 Campaign Begins, GOP Voters Sour on Senate Republicans

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) saw the largest decline in his approval rating among GOP voters, dipping 29 points, to 41%. Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), who is up for re-election next year, saw his approval rating fall 16 points among Republican voters, and just 22% are “strongly” in his corner. Intraparty declines for retiring Pennsylvania, Ohio senators illustrate the challenges of simultaneously satisfying both the base and the broader electorate in the Trump era ahead of contested primaries. “You cannot say, ‘Trump voters, come out and vote and support us’ while saying ‘Trump’s a horrible person,’” said Shermichael Singleton,...

Several former Republican leaders are slated to speak on the first night of this year’s Democratic National Convention, including former U.S. New York Rep. Susan Molinari, who once spoke at the Republican National Convention, and former Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a frequent Trump critic who ran for president in 2016. Former New Jersey Gov. Christine Todd Whitman and former Hewlett Packard CEO Meg Whitman are also on the list of GOP speakers expected to give remarks virtually on Monday night. Democratic National Committee spokeswoman Xochitl Hinojosa told the Yahoo News podcast “Skullduggery” on Monday that the theme of the convention...

As the Republican Party careens toward civil war, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus got onstage to sing “Kumbaya” at the most recent debate in Miami. Claiming to speak not only for the Republican Party but also for “the conservatives, the Tea Party, our entire wonderful group of people,” Priebus promised that all would “come together and unify in Cleveland and get behind [our] nominee. That’s what we do as Republicans.” Indeed, that’s exactly what the Republican Party has traditionally done. Year after year, the party has told grassroots conservatives we have to fall in line and support whatever milquetoast...

Stuart Stevens called Trump "a dangerous person" and "someone who would embarrass America." The Republican Party's top strategist in the 2012 election would rather see Hillary Clinton as the next president than Donald Trump. "Personally, I think Hillary Clinton would be a better president than Donald Trump because I think that Donald Trump is a dangerous person and is someone who would embarrass America," Stuart Stevens, who advised 2012 nominee Mitt Romney, said Tuesday on Bloomberg's "With All Due Respect." "I have no desire to see Hillary Clinton as president of the United States," he added. "But if this is...

Anyone else think it is kinds weird that almost exactly 4 years to the date the Liberal Whore media was attacking Herman Cain, another Black man running for the republican ticket. It struck me as either a very weird coincidence or something that they planned. I remember Herman Cain was doing really well before he was attacked by the media. Much like how Carson has been doing well.

Former Delaware Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell says the Federal Elections Commission has dropped a campaign finance complaint filed against last year her by the state’s Republican Party. Writing on Twitter early Thursday afternoon, the tea party-backed Republican announced “Breaking News! FEC dismissed the DE GOP Ex-Chair’s complaint against me.” O’Donnell’s Christine PAC did not immediately respond to POLITICO’s request for comment. The complaint against O’Donnell alleged that she and the Tea Party Express had violated campaign finance rules barring coordination between PACs and candidates.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) lashed out at fellow Republicans Tuesday for a "capitulation ... of dramatic proportions" to Democrats and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) in the lame-duck Congress. Graham said Republicans have no one to blame but themselves for allowing ratification of the New START Treaty and other legislation in the period before new lawmakers are sworn in in January. "When it's all going to be said and done, Harry Reid has eaten our lunch," Graham said on Fox News radio. "This has been a capitulation in two weeks of dramatic proportions of policies that wouldn't have passed...

The National Republican Senatorial Committee refused to fund the Tea Party darling in Delaware Christine O’Donnell, who kicked out of office the establishment Republican Castle in the state primary yesterday. This was the ugliest decision the Republican elite could have made. When folks donate to the NRSC they expect them to fight for every senatorial candidate. They should not discriminate between the glamorous former CEO lady and the woman who struggled through home foreclosure. People expect the NRSC to support all senatorial candidates that folks moved forward in legitimate Republican primaries. It is not the Republican’s elite who decides...

Here is video of Media Malpractice producer John Ziegler on MSNBC's Morning Joe today, where he talked about his documentary film that focuses on the media's deliberate attempts to discredit Gov. Sarah Palin during the 2008 Campaign. Ziegler forcefully takes on the MSNBC Morning Joe crew, and shows how Palin was "savaged" by the media. At the 5:40 mark of the video above, Pat Buchanan asks Ziegler who were the main culprits in the media attack against Palin, and Joe Scarborough interrupted Ziegler and would not let him answer! Scarborough at the whole set then began to laugh, because they...
