Hey guys, can you feel it? There's that smell in the air...the acrid stench of desperation. This Friday marks the first time the Republicans MIGHT ACTUALLY STAND UP TO OBAMA! Guess what has happened in the last day alone? 1. Bob Woodward has called the Obama Admin's actions "madness" and compared them to Nixon. 2. Bob Woodward was threatened by Glen Sperling, Obama aide. 3. The media is in full a**-cover mode, trying in anyway possible to spin the slam of Woodward, THEIR HERO, as some kind of fluke. 4. @SharylAttkisson is back on the question track with #Benghazi 5....

DETROIT–American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings Inc. dealt the United Auto Workers a second blow Thursday by announcing the closure of its New York gear-making plant after union rank-and-file members failed to ratify a new contract late last month. The Cheektowaga plant, employing about 100 hourly and salaried workers, will be shut sometime after Feb. 25, American Axle spokesman Christopher Son said. The announcement comes a month after the company said it will close its Detroit plant after workers there failed to agree to wage cuts. That closure will throw about 300 people out of work.
  • Even with an extra 50 minutes to think, Obama still couldn’t come up with something new to say

The scant 15 or so minutes the president stood at the podium today did little to ameliorate the sense of abandonment that festered this weekend when the president for nearly three full days “bunkered down” after news of the S&P credit downgrade. It certainly didn’t help that BHO arrived at that podium more than 48 minutes late. Before he even opened his mouth, Obama’s tardiness touched off a Twitterstorm. A small sample of my favorite tweets: Obama’s handlers need to start doing what I do with my late girlfriend: Tell him the presser is at 12. Then, he’ll be on...

Liberal firebrand Michael Moore called on President Obama to respond to the U.S. credit downgrade by arresting the leaders of the credit-ratings agencies. On his Twitter feed Monday, the Oscar-winning film director also blamed the 2008 economic collapse on Standard & Poor’s — apparently because it and other credit-ratings agencies did not downgrade mortgage-based bonds, which encouraged the housing bubble and let it spread throughout the economy. “Pres Obama, show some guts & arrest the CEO of Standard & Poors. These criminals brought down the economy in 2008& now they will do it again,” Mr. Moore wrote.

UPDATE: Dow down 460 at 2:00 est. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is taking a beating as President Obama continues to speak. Towards the beginning of his speech, the index was down 375 points. As I write now it is down 450. Obama's blaming of everyone else and trotting out the same old "solutions" are not helping. The S&P average is down a total of 5% on the day. The NASDAQ is also down 5% on the day. This is becoming a run. We need leadership now. In addition, between the time he announced the speech and gave it, the...

Did you SLEEP well? Hi, John Olver! Hi, Richard Neal! Hi, Jim McGovern! Yeah, hi, Barney Frank. Hi, Niki Tsongas! Hi, John F. Tierney! Hi, Ed Markey! Hi, Michael Capuano! Hi, Stephen Lynch! Hi, William Delahunt …Why the colors? Because of this map, of course: …Members of Congress who have towns whose voters went for Scott Brown are in red; Barney Frank (who is blessed with a Boston district) is in blue. They’re all Democrats, so no need to distinguish there. Interesting, huh? And it makes me want to ask a couple of questions: 1.How do the people on that...
