A woman thought to be in her forties was struck in the head with an axe in central Stockholm on Monday afternoon. The attack took place at the offices of the Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Rights (RFSL) on Sveavägen just after 3.30pm. Police arrested a man around fifteen minutes later in connection with the incident. He was still carrying the axe when he was apprehended. RFSL chairman Sören Andersson has confirmed that woman was an employee of the organization. He is in no doubt that the crime was motivated by hatred. "It's obvious that this can't...

I'm swedish too, but I swear I wouldn't behave like this at anyone's BBQ party - or elsewhere. The article: "Man arrested after barbecue rampage A cosy birthday barbecue in a small village in central Sweden turned into a nightmare on Saturday night when the group of friends had a visit from a neighbour - with an appetite for destruction, rather than grilled reindeer steaks. Inga-Mai Björkman, her partner, and his brother were having a relaxing BBQ dinner in their summer house near Mora when the guest from hell arrived. A Glimpse Ahead Timothy Snodgrass The Impossible Will Come Alive In 2005 01/28/05 In January of 2004, as we began to intercede for the New Year the Holy Spirit gave us the prophetic slogan, "The Seas will Roar in 2004". This year we were given a new slogan, "The Impossible will come Alive in 2005". As the veil of darkness begins to come down over nations and regions, along with great shakings will come great breakthroughs; signs, wonders, healings and a spectacular release of miracles in impossible circumstances. This year, although we are ultimately poised to gain much ground, there...

<snip>Chicago Magazine recently gave a report on the ratio of psychologists per 100,000 residents in each state. The highest ratio was in these states (from highest to lowest): Vermont, Minnesota, Massachusetts, New York, Colorado, Illinois, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Pennsylvania. With the exception of Colorado, these were all blue states in the November election. Imagine that. And this is all the more enjoyable because the ten states with the lowest ratio of psychologists are all red states -- (from lowest to highest) Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Nevada, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Kentucky, and Indiana. In our free-market economy, the...
