NEWARK, N.J. - Authorities in Canada have accused a Justin Bieber impersonator of threatening and sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl in New Jersey on a video chat site. Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray says 34-year-old Lee Moir of Toronto, Ontario, posed as the pop star on Facebook. Authorities allege he threatened to harm the girl's family to force her to perform sex acts online. It's unclear if Moir used photos of Bieber on his Facebook page, but authorities say the girl realized it wasn't the singer during the video chat.

Justin Bieber is one of the world's most famous pop stars but is also decidedly more Jesusy than his day job might lead some to believe. When the young Canadian-born singer burst onto the scene, he was discovered in part by singing Christian songs on YouTube. But that is just the beginning of Bieber's faith journey, spelled out in a new book on the young star. Cathleen Falsani sarcastically self-proclaims she is the "pre-eminent Justin Bieber scholar in North America." Falsani has penned "Belieber! Fame, Faith, and the Heart of Justin Bieber," a book exploring the faith life of the...

Bieber spoke to Life & Style magazine about his affinity for ladies' jeans. "I've worn women's jeans before because they fit me. It's not a trend; it's just, whatever works, works." Again, Justin says this isn't a trend, so if everybody starts wearing Not Your Daughter's Jeans, don't blame him. . Bieber was responding to a question about Kanye West's decision to wear a women's sweater. "It wasn't (so he'd) look like a woman in a sweater; it was just a regular sweater that happened to be a woman's.". An article from the Yahoo! Contributor Network points out that Justin...

February 16, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In a soon-to-be-published interview with Rolling Stone, teen idol Justin Bieber revealed that he shares something in common with a growing number of young people in the United States - he is pro-life. “I really don’t believe in abortion,” Bieber told contributing editor...

Justin Bieber slams America claiming we are “evil” in the latest issue of Rolling Stone. Justin Bieber has just stepped in front of a firing squad with his recent comment in Rolling Stone Magazine. In the interview, Bieber is asked if he will ever become an American citizen (he’s Canadian) and states that we (Americans) are EVIL. Bieber digs the ditch even deeper when he says “Canada is the best country in the world.” I feel like writing Obama a letter asking to deport Bieber’s anti-American ass. Perhaps nationalized health care should be called BieberCare rather than ObamaCare. That font of wisdom, Justin Bieber, declared that the American health-care system is “evil” because people have to pay, while the system in his homeland of Canada is better because it is “free.” Nationalized health care is advocated by gray-haired “experts,” as well as a president whose hair is graying. But the shallow logic and juvenile thinking are much more appropriate in the 16-year-old pop idol whose voice − and reasoning power − have yet to mature.

Canadian tween heartthrob Justin Bieber has weighed in on the U.S. health care system — and he isn’t impressed. "You guys are evil," he laughs in the new issue of Rolling Stone. "Canada's the best country in the world. We go to the doctor and we don't need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you're broke because of medical bills. My bodyguard's baby was premature, and now he has to pay for it. In Canada, if your baby's premature, he stays in the hospital as long as he needs to, and then you go home." Bieber,...

Justin Bieber may have stepped on a political land mine in his latest interview, saying that the American health care system is 'Evil'. The teen star told Rolling Stone that he did not agree with the US system in which patients must pay for any treatment they require, much preferring his native Canada's national healthcare system. Speaking to the magazine he said: "You guys are evil. Canada's the best country in the world. I'm sure this will excite his haters (hello 4chan!) even more. Updated Dustin confirmed to us that his tweet is not a joke. He was told about it by a Twitter employee. Since Bieber is almost a perennial trending topic, I'm not surprised. Still, and given the 180 million unique visitors every month, that's quite an achievement. You totally hate Justin Bieber, right, because you're a rebel, or whatever? That's just because you haven't listened to Bieber slowed down 800 percent. Now his new single "U Smile" is a 30-minute epic. And it sounds awesome. No, really. Courtesy musician Nick Pittsinger, who used the free program Paulstretch, this is "U Smile" made slower. Like, a lot slower—eight times slower, to be exact. And all of a sudden the not-bad piano pop track sounds like the climactic score to some kind of historical epic, or Dead Can Dance, or, like, Animal Collective, or something. It sounds like the...

Just when you think the educational system in America has hit a new low, the pop music scene shows that we haven’t yet hit bottom. Granted, this is not something I would normally post on the Alamo, but, as a teacher, this disturbs me. Justin Bieber, 16-year old teen idol, is asked if his name means “basketball” in German. Here is video of teen singing sensation Justin Beiber (16 years old) in an interview recently where he was asked if the name "Beiber" is "German" for basketball. Beiber was dumbfounded by the question because he did not know what the word "German" was. The interviewer repeated the word several times and then Beiber even read it off the guy's notes. But then he said, "We don't say that in America," meaning the word "German." I guess we know he hasn't taken "German" yet in high school.
