Bill Maher made politically correct liberals the subject of his show-ending new rule tonight, as he’s done before, mocking how worked up everyone got about comments from Dolce and Gabbana about “synthetic” babies. Maher said he’s getting tired of the liberal outrage machine and asked, “What is the point of attacking people who are 95 percent on your side?”

Two victories this week for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, one seismic, the other minor though not insignificant. First, he won a solid re-election victory that affirmed his dire warning of the peril from a nuclear-armed Iran. Secondly, he persuaded an influential American liberal that his campaign warning that Israel's Arab citizens might swing the election against him was not a despicable, race-baiting tactic as alleged by other liberals. Netanyahu may never learn of this second vote of approval from liberal comedian Bill Maher, but it remains worth savoring for conservatives here in the U.S. (VIDEO-AT-LINK)It was heard on last...

A human rights activist and writer is dismayed that there are no laws that allow the imprisonment of those who state certain offensive positions, such as Bill Maher and Phil Robertson. If the United States were a "civilized country" like those in Europe, Tanya Cohen wrote for Thought Catalog, then Robertson, a reality show star on A&E's "Duck Dynasty," "would have been taken before a government Human Rights Tribunal or Human Rights Commission and given a fine or prison sentence for the hateful and bigoted comments that he made about LGBT people." Heck, who cares if the "neighbors" in question have a knife to your throat. Bill Nye, foppish self-proclaimed Science Guy, appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher this past Friday night and demonstrated why he ought to stick with his true vocation as a global-warming bedwetter. During a panel discussion on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's suggestion that European Jews fearful for their lives should come "home" to Israel, Nye mocked the idea and blamed Jews for not being friendlier to predators who consider it a holy rite to slaughter them

Bill Maher ended his show tonight finally talking about Sarah Palin‘s rambling Iowa speech that was the final straw for many Republicans and conservatives. But Maher had just one question for them: “What took you so long?!” Maher mocked the revelation as an “emperor has no clues” situation and asked Republicans why they took so long, saying, “The rest of us have been watching this dog eat grass for seven years!” However, while Maher was glad that many conservatives are finally admitting Palin “is a crazy person,” he said they should maybe consider what else they’ve been “wrong” about, like...

Believe it or not, God takes sides. He is in no sense passive but throughout the history of man has shown Himself active in peace and in war. Though liberal hypocrites like Michael Moore slander snipers as murderers and invoke the name of Christ in their propaganda, God is, in fact, the author of “one shot, one kill.” Chris Kyle was no less the instrument of God as the Devil of Ramadi than was an ancient Syrian bowman whose arrow flew by Divine command. Leftists like to control the vocabulary and the discourse. Leftists have decided to amputate the word Clinton from the name of Hillary Clinton, wife of Bill Clinton, our former president. No self-respecting conservative should EVER use the name Hillary without the mandatory last name, Clinton. She carries all the baggage that the name Hillary Clinton provides. Late night comedian Bill Maher has controversially described Michael Brown a 'thug' that didn't deserve to be shot and rubbished claims he was a 'gentle giant'. Weighing in on the conflict in Ferguson, Missouri, he urged people on both sides to 'look at the facts'. 'I'm sorry, but Michael Brown's people say he is a gentle giant,' he told viewers of HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday night. 'Well, we saw that video of when he was in that 7-Eleven. No, he wasn't a gentle giant.
  • For Ben Affleck, It's Ridicule Before Reason

Ben Affleck's recent turn on Real Time with Bill Maher - his ranting, nonsensical and history-altering tripe during a smart, reasoned and valuable conversation about Islam and the world - exposes a myriad of truths about the actor and director, and about Liberalism. The conversation between Maher and author Sam Harris started off reasoned and clear; Liberals need to stand up for liberal principles, and Liberals need to be honest about these principles when speaking about the Muslim world. After just 60 seconds of conversation between the two, Affleck interjected with his first of many caustic statements. His demeanor was aggressive...

Bill Maher is no one's idea of a disinterested scholar on religion. He's long been the loudest, most obnoxious barroom brawler for atheism. What makes his argument toxic is that it isn't an intellectual defense of atheism. It is a sophomoric, boorish attack on religion, wholly dependent on yuk-yuk lines. These attacks have drawn little attention of late, perhaps because he's so predictable, but in the last few weeks, Maher has drawn new attention for singling out Islam as the worst of all them all. He almost sounded pro-Christian (by comparison) in a surprisingly contentious PBS interview with Charlie Rose...

Last Friday night a rare dialogue/debate took place on American television. It was rare because it involved criticism of Islam, one of the many taboo subjects that are labeled "politically incorrect." And it took place on the program "Real Time with Bill Maher," a show not generally known for taking politically incorrect positions. But on this night the host, Bill Maher, along with atheism-advocate Sam Harris, had a vigorous debate with Actor Ben Affleck, New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof, and former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele. Bill Maher, a man of the left on virtually every issue, began...

  • Bill Maher on Islam spat with Ben Affleck: “We’re liberals! We’re not crazy tea-baggers”

... I think Sam and I and Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Salman Rushdie and everyone who is basically making the same point, I think we all feel frustrated because I think we feel like the people who are arguing with us are not listening. We’re liberals! We’re liberals. We’re not crazy tea-baggers, y’know, and so it’s kind of hard to be making this case — based on facts, based on polling, I think based on what everybody really knows… I mean, do the people arguing with us, would they really open a lesbian art gallery in Ramallah? [Laughs] Or Karachi?...

Rosie O'Donnell may have worried about the threat of "radical Christianity," but Ben Affleck's defense of Islam thrilled The View host on Monday, prompting her to tout the actor as a presidential candidate. O'Donnell and her co-hosts were discussing the verbal battle from Friday's Real Time. Atheist Maher called out his fellow liberals for not standing up to militant Islam. O'Donnell praised, "I was listening to Ben Affleck and every single thing he said, I agreed with...I wrote on my Twitter 'Ben Affleck for president.'" [MP3 audio here.] The comedienne then explained what the actor's words meant to her: "Fundamentalists...
  • Did Obama use a "No True Scotsman" fallacy when talking recently about Islam and Muslims?

Some people - and quite a few atheists - have made hay over Obama's comments, primary among them being Obama's comment that "No religion condones the killing of innocents." Inherent within Obama's statement is that no TRUE Muslim would ever kill innocent people, be they men, women or children. As such, this would fall within the parameters of the "No True Scotsman" fallacy. The only problem with this is that it leaves Christians open to the charge that true Christians have (for example) bombed abortion clinics, takes away from Christians the ability to say that "No true Christian would ever...

Appearing on Charlie Rose's PBS show this week, HBO's "Real Time" host Bull Maher rebuked him for linking Islam to Christianity, defending Christians by saying a vast numbers of them do not believe in violence or treat women as second class citizens. Maher, a self-proclaimed atheist, began by refuting former Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean's recent statement that vast numbers of Muslims are not like ISIS in Iraq and Syria, an al-Qaeda offshoot that seeks to form an Islamic emirate in the Levant region through "jihad." Interrupting Maher, Rose asked, "Behind every Muslim is a future member of some radical?"...

CNN has been transformed from a sober and respected news network into a shrill and biased mouthpiece for liberals, according to actor, author and economist Ben Stein. Stein, a speechwriter for Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford, said the dramatic change is particularly noticeable in CNN's coverage of the racial strife in Ferguson, Mo., following the fatal shooting of a black teen by a white police officer. "They've flipped out. I don't know what happened to CNN because CNN used to really be great and I can remember when it was great," Stein said Tuesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show"...

Bill Maher is known for his pathological, frothing attacks on all things conservative. However, on the August 1 edition of Real Time With Bill Maher, the HBO host took a controversial stance for a liberal: he defended Israel. When his Iranian-American guest Reza Aslan argued that “Amnesty International...have found no evidence whatsoever of any kind of human shield being used,” Maher interrupted to state “It's a war. It's a war that Hamas started.” The left-wing comedian continued, claiming that “somehow when Israel reacts to this, they have to do everything in a way that doesn't kill any civilians. People die...
