  • Two Congress Critters walk into a Bar ~ Vanity Joke

Here is a Joke I though of! Two Congress Critters walk into a Bar and sit down. The Bartender moves over to their place at the Bar and asks "good evening gentlemen, nice to see you again tonight, would you like the usual?" One of the congress critters looks at the Bartender and says "It's been a hell of day on the hill, we'll take the usual and leave the bottles!" The Bartender says "two glasses, One bottle of whiskey and a bottle of rum coming right up!" The one congress critter grabs the wild turkey by the neck and...

I think the vote for speaker demonstrates a clear need for having a well thought out process for choosing who is the leader concerning the house and senate and also a process that will remove the obvious blackmailing using campaign funds and committee assignments and committee chairmanships. Right now it is damned shame that is is ran almost like a Mafia family selecting it's leadership or union Boss "Card Check" election. Here is what needs to be done: Selecting the Speaker of the House, House Minority leader, Senate Majority/minority leader. 1. Once the House/Senate members are seated a member may...
  • Are Mitch McConnell, John Bohner, and other Prominent RINOs "compromised"? ~ Vanity

They really really act like it, don't they? What could possibly explain their very whimpering like a abused dog all the time capitulation to both the DNC and the US Chamber or other cronies while blatantly and outright declaring war on a majority of their constituents. I bring this up because over the years I have heard a number of "innuendo remarks" and "open secret among DC Circles" comments concerning Mitch McConnell's personal relationship status and/or personal preferences so to speak. Then there is John Bohner, whose open secret seems to be his propensity to imbibing alcohol in liberal, pardon...

Tea Party leaders who have been pushing for a primary opponent against House Speaker John Boehner in 2012 for not keeping a campaign promise to cut more federal spending are getting their wish. Tea Party activist David Lewis, a 26-year-old married father, announced Friday that he will challenge the Ohio Republican. But Lewis is mounting a protest candidacy on a single issue: Boehnerís support of a federal budget that provided funding to Planned Parenthood. Lewis plans to unveil graphic anti-abortion ads on his website Monday. ďIím not delusional. I donít know if I have a chance at beating the speaker...

House Republicans insisted Sunday that they plan to change key elements of the Senate-passed immigration bill, signaling a protracted and rocky battle ahead despite one Democrat's pronouncement that in the end the House will cave and pass the Senate bill anyway. Republican Rep. Bob Goodlatte, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee who is playing a major role in the chamber's consideration of immigration policy, on Sunday addressed what is perhaps at the heart of the impasse. He said the House, which is drafting its own plan, cannot agree to a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants. Rather, he wants...

There is a palpable sense that conservatives may have finally had enough of telling the Roves and the usual suspects "thank you sir, may I have another".
