Bristol Palin, one of America’s most famous political daughters, is outraged that President Obama is taking advice from his own children. The 21-year-old lashed out at the commander-in-chief, who said Malia,13, and Sasha,10, helped influence his decision to support gay marriage. “While it’s great to listen to your kids’ ideas, there’s also a time when dads simply need to be dads,” the former Alaska governor’s daughter argued in a blog on Thursday. It was aptly titled “Hail to the Chiefs — Malia and Sasha Obama.” Palin — a single mom herself — then argued children are raised in homes where...

Bristol Palin informs us that today is World Down Syndrome Day, and she posted this on her new blog: Thank you for all the kind words this week, especially the ones about Trig. Did you know that today – March 21, 2012 – is actually World Down Syndrome Day? It’s a great day to take a moment and celebrate life. Children with Down Syndrome are beautiful, and I’m so proud of my baby brother. I wouldn’t want him any other way! Bristol then went on to dare us to watch this without tears. I must say, it’s a very challenging...

'We want to build a slum city' say Occupy Bristol protestersThursday, November 17, 2011 Bristol Evening Post WOODEN shacks have sprung up on College Green, where anti-capitalist protesters say they want to create a "slum city". Some shacks already have proper front doors, four walls and even makeshift wardrobes. Campaigners have told the Evening Post they eventually want to replace all tents with shacks and even hope that some will become three storeys high. Occupy Bristol, the UK's biggest tent protest outside London, began 34 days ago when around 200 people turned out to raise concerns about corporate greed and...

Dear Bristol, I so wish you and I could have this conversation on a long girls' night in. You’d get a babysitter for Tripp, I’d bring the popcorn, and we’d hang in our pajamas and watch Heathers. Afterwards, we’d paint each other’s toenails, and I’d tell you how great your chin looks. And then, when we were both feeling relaxed and expansive and had built some kind of trust, I'd tell you this: I'm worried about you, girl. You say you're not accusing Levi of raping you, but the way you tell the story—he knew you didn't want to have...

WHY THIS MATTERS POLITICALLY. There are two games Governor Palin is fighting: one is the battle to take control of her political narrative, the other is taking control of her PERSONAL narrative--and this includes everything surrounding her FAMILY. Having Bristol go on The View is BRILLIANT, and does more for raising Governor Palin's political profile and stature than one may think! With Bristol giving the whole scoop about the details surrounding her pregnancy, she takes the narrative of the "dirty details" and "dirty secrets" away from the mouths of Levi Johnston and rumor-makers in the press, who would try to...

Sarah Palin’s daughter was known as a good girl. But her personal drama would be played out in front of a world-wide audience with no place to hide.
-
There were two candidates on the GOP ticket in 2008, John McCain and Sarah Palin. Both had young daughters involved in the campaign. Both have written books about the experience. Guess which book was celebrated and which was savaged? The media's character assassination of Sarah Palin knows no bounds, as she's been smeared as everything from "evil" to "unintelligent." But "Palin Derangement Syndrome" is a hereditary disease, and the media have continued their multigenerational malice toward Bristol Palin in reviews of her new memoir, "Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far."

When 22-year-old Erik Sanchez talks about Sarah Palin, his eyes go wide and his face lights up with an exuberance usually reserved for rock stars. In fact, when it comes to stars, Beyoncé is No. 1 for Sanchez. But Palin is a close second, which is why he stood in line with hundreds of others on Wednesday for a chance to meet her at a book-signing event at the Mall of America. The scheduled main event actually belonged to Palin's 20-year-old daughter, Bristol, who was signing copies of her memoir, "Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far." But for...

In the concluding segment, the "Real Time" host actually said of Bristol, "The s--t doesn't fall far from the bat" (video follows with transcript and commentary, vulgarity warning):

Anyone hoping for bad girl antics and wild nights in Hollywood from Bristol Palin’s new reality TV project with her “Dancing with the Stars” pal Kyle Massey and his brother Christopher are likely to be disappointed. The way the Masseys described the show backstage at the 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards made it sound closer to “Three’s Company,” but more wholesome (and, we’re guessing, not as funny). “Bristol’s coming down from Alaska to live with us in L.A.,” Kyle said backstage at the Daytime Emmy Awards. “It’s pretty much us living life in L.A and showing her how we circulate...

In 2005, actor Morgan Freeman won the rights to use the domain name www.morganfreeman.com, which was being illegally used by the company Mighty LLC. Freeman applied for a trademark from the US Patent and Trademark Office when he found out that Mighty LLC was using his domain name "in bad faith to divert Internet traffic to a commercial search engine." Ultimately, the arbitrators for the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the intellectual property arm of the United Nations, agreed with Freeman and determined that Freeman's illustrious career made his name sufficiently recognizable in the entertainment and movie spheres. In the...

Sarah Palin will soon be making people pay for trying to cash in on her name. The former Republican vice presidential candidate applied to get her name trademarked last year along with her daughter, Bristol. And over the past few days, the deadlines passed for anyone filing challenges against the trademarks. According to the ex-Alaska governor's application, she wants to protect her name for business and advertising purposes, political elections, entertainment services and for 'providing motivational speaking services in the field of politics.' Bristol, 20, who famously had a baby out of wedlock and appeared on 'Dancing With the Stars',...

The same night “Dancing with the Stars” finalist Bristol Palin got drunk for the first time, she also lost her virginity. According to the Associated Press, the reality television star reveals in her new memoir, “Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far,” that she slept with ex-boyfriend Levi Johnston during a camping excursion. The 20-year-old, who now has a little boy named Tripp, claims to have woken up all by herself in the tent with no memory of what had happened. Palin, a Candies Foundation abstinence spokesperson, says former squeeze Johnston “talked with his friends on the other side...

Sarah Palin's daughter is proving hell hath no fury like an Alaskan scorned - especially one with publishing contacts. A cheeky Bristol Palin writes in her new book, due out next week, that her romance with ex-beau Levi Johnston - he of Playgirl fame - was one of "deception and disappointment." He "cheated on me about as frequently as he sharpened his hockey skates," Palin penned of the bad boy for whom she first fell in seventh grade. The "Dancing with the Stars" vet goes on to denigrate her former flame as "the gnat named Levi Johnston," in the teenage...

Mounting evidence that Sarah Palin may have bought a $1.7million home in Arizona has sparked speculation she will run for president next year. But it seems the real reason for the move could be more personal - to keep tabs on her daughter, Bristol. The Tea Party politician is reportedly furious at the 20-year-old's new relationship with Disney's Kyle Massey, who she met on Dancing with the Stars last year. Bristol and Kyle are soon to appear in a new reality show for the BIO Channel, which will follow them as they set up a charity alongside Kyle's elder brother,...

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Bristol Palin admits her recent change in appearance was due to a procedure - but not plastic surgery. The 20-year-old daughter of 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin tells Us Weekly that she underwent corrective jaw surgery in December, a month after she finished third on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars." Her face now appears thinner, with higher cheekbones and an angular jaw. The new look, complete with Palin losing 5 pounds, was unveiled April 30 at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner in Washington, D.C. "Yes, it improved the way I look, but this surgery...

Bristol Palin will be the focal point of a reality series given a 10-episode order by Bio. The series is scheduled to premiere before the end of the year. The untitled project will follow Palin and her son Tripp as they work on a charity while living with Kyle Massey (whom Palin met as a contestant on "Dancing With the Stars") and his brother Christopher. Palin first gained national attention as the daughter of 2008 vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin and the subsequent coverage of her becoming a teenage single mother. Her fame then increased through her fall 2010 appearance on...

She raked in more than $260,000 as the face of abstinence in one year alone and it seems Bristol Palin has used some of that cash to pay for a Hollywood makeover. The 20-year-old single mother unveiled a new look as she walked the red carpet at the 10th anniversary of the Candies Foundation, which employs her as an advocate against teen pregnancy. Her transformation has sparked internet rumours of plastic surgery, with observers nothing her jawline appears more angular and cheekbones more pronounced. However, it is possible simple weight loss and careful grooming is the cause. The former Dancing...

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Sarah Palin is trying to trademark her name. The former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate filed paperwork with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in November to register the trademark. The federal office is seeking more information and examples of usage. Palin’s attorney said Friday that they have until late spring to provide that information.

Troops Boo Kathy Griffin for Bristol Palin Fat Jokes 296 Comments By Rob Shuter Posted Dec 6th 2010 11:30AM The troops at the Marine Corps Air Station in California booed Kathy Griffin at 'VH1 Divas: Salute the Troops' for a lame joke taunting Bristol Palin for seemingly being the "only contestant in the history of ['Dancing With the Stars'] to actually gain weight" during the show. As criticism for Kathy mounts a day after the special aired, sources tell me VH1 nearly cut the ugly moment out of the show. "There was talk at VH1 about editing out the joke...

Kathy Griffin hosted the VH1 Divas salute to the troops this weekend, but her “jokes” about Bristol Palin being “fat” fell flat. "She's the only contestant in the history of the show to actually gain weight," Griffin said in reference to Bristol's trip to the finals on “Dancing With the Stars.” Even after the troops' loud booing, Griffin continued the attack. "No, come on, come on. She gained like 30 pounds a week, I swear to God, it was fantastic,” Griffin said. “She's like the white Precious." (Actress Gabourey Sidibe played the role of “Precious,” a 350-pound black woman in...

BRISTOL — America’s most popular radio talk show host, Rush Limbaugh, blasted Bristol the other day for supposedly making off with some of the $3.3 trillion in loans given to businesses by the Federal Reserve during the recession. While the charge is false – even absurd given the city’s paltry place in the financial arena – Limbaugh didn’t stop there. He described Bristol to his millions of listeners as nothing more than ESPN. “That’s all that’s there: ESPN and a couple of cheap hotels,” Limbaugh said on his nationally syndicated show Thursday. That was more than enough to stir Bristol’s...

What's with the recent trend of tagging articles with palin or sarahpalin that have nothing to do with Sarah Palin? If your article has nothing to do with Palin, please don't tag it as such. It's bad enough that journalists use her name to get hits to their articles or as a cheap source of writing material. We don't need that attitude here too. Just because people want to increase traffic to their posts, doesn't mean they should tag their posted articles with palin or sarahpalin. This just clutters the keyword/tagging system.

Comedienne Sandra Bernhard called Bristol Palin a hooker on Wednesday's "The Joy Behar Show." JOY BEHAR, HOST: After weeks of speculation that the low-scoring Bristol Palin could actually take the "Dancing With The Stars`" win, the nation breathed the sigh of relief last night as Jennifer Grey was crowned the champion (ph). With me now to talk about this and other stories in the news are Sandra Bernhard, comedian and singer, Rebecca Dana, senior correspondent for the Daily Beast, and Andrea Marcovicci, singer and actress. I called you Andrea. Is it Andrea or Andrea? ANDREA MARCOVICCI, SINGER: It`s Andrea. BEHAR:...

I’m sure you’ve noticed how humorous, and at the same time pathetic, it’s been to watch the left go crazy about Bristol Palin continuing to remain on “Dancing with the Stars.” Palin is in the top three along with Disney Channel star Kyle Massey and Jennifer Grey of “Dirty Dancing” fame. The show’s season finale will air tonight at 9 p.m. Viewers have voted to keep Sarah Palin’s teenage daughter on the show seven times, despite the fact that neither she nor partner Mark Ballas can compare with the show's better dancers and their judges’ scores consistently reflect that fact....

What's happened to the voting on DWTS from the East Coast. My wife and I both called and get a message saying the voting in my time zone is closed?? Anyone else smell a RAT?

Just tried to call in from two different phones to vote for Bristol Palin. The first time I called from either phone the message told me I had reached my limit of calls, on my FIRST call. It took me 9 calls on the first phone and 7 calls on the 2nd to get my 10 votes in. Haven't tried the computer yet. Wonder if someone is messing around with the votes?

Tonight is the final chance for the three remaining contestants on "Dancing With the Stars" to impress the viewers at home. As we've seen this season in particular, high scores from the judges may be nice. But, it's the viewers who matter because their votes can make an impact. Going into tonight's season finale are Jennifer Grey, Kyle Massey & Bristol Palin. Getting to this point wasn't always a smooth trip. There were some tense moments at the production office for "Dancing With the Stars." ABC says a white powder in an envelope was delivered to the office this past...

Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas have received death threats and "Dancing with the Stars" has measurably heightened security ... sources connected with the show tell TMZ. We're told the threats began to come in last week, after Bristol and Mark made the finals. Execs on the show told Mark to stop tweeting because it was inciting people. Mark complied. Sources connected with the show tell us extra security will be on hand tonight for the show. And, if Bristol and Mark head to New York, execs are talking about breaking format and not doing their interview outside in Times Square...

After tonight's final dances, Dancing With the Stars may need to consider a name change. That's because the winner might well be someone who's not much of a dancer and isn't really a star.Seven weeks out of nine, Bristol Palin – 20-year-old "teen activist" and daughter of Sarah – finished in last place with the judges but was saved by viewers' votes, eliminating a string of better dancers and bigger celebrities along the way.

The kerfuffle is all about stuffing the ballot box. People on websites have bragged about inventing fake email addresses and voting up to 300 times. They say they want to teach a lesson about voter fraud. Those who don't like Bristol have cried foul, claiming that the integrity of the show is threatened. Seriously? Ok, whatever -- here's my take: I believe that ABC's voting fraud control is probably far better than that of any typical urban area in the U.S. (which more often than not are controlled by the likes of whom would not vote for anyone named Palin)....

The issue isn’t Bristol’s dancing, but her popularity. And because of who Bristol is, that means the issue is the popularity of her mother. The unexpectedly large number of people voting for Bristol contradicts the going mood of the gallery of bubble-wrapped Palin-haters who really believed that Palin was being booed that night in the audience at DWTS, and that all of America was booing her, too. Like the old story of Pauline Kael, flabbergasted by Nixon’s landslide in 1972 when she didn’t know a single person who voted for him, the average Palin-hater has existed until now in safe...

Conrad Green, executive producer of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, is “mystified” by this week’s Bristol Palin vs. Brandy brouhaha. Green called EW to address rumors of a so-called Tea Party conspiracy designed to help Bristol Palin advance into Monday’s season 11 finals. "She’s improved every week. I think a lot of people are ignoring the fact that she’s actually a decent dancer. What I think is annoying people is that maybe she’s not as vivid a performer as some of the other dancers on the show. Kyle is quite a performer, but Bristol is probably in terms of technique...

The million-dollar question among Dancing with the Stars fans these days? How did Bristol Palin make it into the season 11 finals? "She deserves it," DWTS executive producer Conrad Green tells PEOPLE. "And a significant portion of our viewing audience believes that, too." SNIP Speculation has arisen about whether members of the Tea Party, many of whom strongly support Bristol's mom Sarah Palin, are involved in an organized effort to promote Bristol. On one conservative Web site, Freerepublic.com, some of the site's 300,000 registered users have recently used discussion threads to encourage votes for Bristol. One asked users to "make...

Sarah Palin-loving Bay State Tea Partiers are joining with their comrades across the nation in an all-out push to send Mama Grizzly cub Bristol waltzing away the winner on election night in the top-rated ABC network hit “Dancing with the Stars.” Tea Party members took to Web sites ranging from conservatives4palin.com to hillbuzz.org earlier this week and bragged about stuffing the ballot box for “Alaska’s most famous daughter.” A poster on freerepublic.com urged, “Make liberal heads explode and vote for Bristol Palin tonight, you don’t need to watch.’’
