EUGENE, Ore. -- To his owner, 7-year-old Bull Terrier "Spanky" was a calm and loving companion. "I had this dog for seven years since he was a puppy and I never seen him aggressive toward any human being," said Spanky's owner, Christopher Robinson. Robinson said Spanky was gentle and never snappy, but the dog Robinson describes is a far cry from the dog a Eugene Police Department detective encountered on Tuesday. According to neighbors and Robinson, the detective stopped by Robinson's home to talk to him about an unrelated case involving one of his neighbors. Robinson said he wasn't home...

THE five-stone bull terrier hangs by its teeth from a thick tree branch, its vice-like jaws foaming with blood and spit. The powerful beast lets out stomach-churning growls as it thrashes wildly from side to side, tearing chunks out of the tough wood. It has been whipped into a frenzy by its hoodie-wearing owner, who goads the dog with shouts and taunts. It is terrifying to watch. When the aggressive mutt is back on the ground, straining to break free from its choke chain, the branch is stained red with its blood. The thought of a dog with this power...

Cook and her son Kahlil Smoot couldn't believe Ingram was viciously attacked by two neighborhood dogs. “She's a sweet little girl,”...

Somewhere there is a naked Porcupine! This Pit Bull decided he would attack a Porcupine; but being brave, he learned the hard way that you can't always win, no matter how tough you are. The vet sedated the dog and removed 1347 quills...the dog survived and hopefully learned a lesson. 1.Choose your fights wisely. 2.Don't mess with Porcupines! ....
