Feb. 3, 2003 Court: Arafat owes the Egged bus company NIS 52 million in damages By THE JERUSALEM POST INTERNET STAFFTel-Aviv district court has charged the Palestinian Authority and its Chiarman, Yasser Arafat, to pay a sum of NIS 52 million in damages and loss of revenue to the Egged bus company as a result of Palestinian terror attacks. The District court places direct responsibility for terror attacks on the PA and on Arafat. Egged's lawsuit cites damages and loss of revenue incurred in terrorist attacks in the first year of the Intifada only.
