Can’t disagree with the fact that drinking wine can ruin lives. Yet Jesus made it by the gallon and in his last supper he told us to remember Him by breaking bread and sharing a the cup of wine. Strange huh?
I eat my vegetables after being fully cooked now. I like spinach in a salad, but I became sick at about the same time as the Romaine lettuce recall. So now I’m eating spinach after cooking it. Same with broccoli, peas, etc. I don’t think the food chain is going to improve.
I wonder if any of these DU folks even get it. You know if there were one area that we could find some agreement with them it might be fighting the big corporations being in bed with big government. Just a dream.
I watched the CEO of Philips corporation that makes lightbulbs this morning on a business show. He was talking about the company’s support of the Sheryl Crow tour and they are pressing for legislation to make compact flourescent bulbs mandatory in something like 2016. The interviewer asked him if the company makes a bigger margin on the compact flourescent and he replies that the margin isn’t the issue its saving the environment. I am sick of these people. Using this government/ngo/business complex to force crap on us. What a bunch of filthy liars.
The Minnesota State Patrol and Department of Transportation say the same thing - use both lanes until the last moment - traffic flows faster. In the land of Minnesota nice they have to encourage it. Here's what it comes down to - lots of passive aggressive people that want to play traffic cop by blocking lanes etc.
I used to read an earth friendly magazine. For all of their tips on saving the earth and money, they never suggested reading the magazine at the library.
I just came in from a walk around my 5 acres after taking care of my chickens. Temp -12 and it felt great. That was until I heard a pack of coyotes very close then I hastened back to the house. I have a fire going and am doing some studying - too busy to watch the game.
I love the cold too. A few years ago I decided to sort of embrace it and not shrink from it.
It always seems that these Global Warming whackos pick the coldest days of the year to make the most noise. Just from a strategy point of view they should maybe be holding these hearings in a warmer month.
