The La Paz County Attorney’s Office is reviewing the actions of the Quartzsite Town Council at their June 4, special meeting. At that meeting, the council approved the canvas of the May 15 general election. They also determined mayoral candidate Ed Foster was not qualified to serve as mayor, and that council candidate Mark Orgeron was not qualified to serve on the council. They determined Patricia Workman was qualified to serve on the council.

Nice turnout at Escondido, California's gathering, about 600 patriots lined both sides of Escondido Boulevard near the downtown post office from 5 to 7pm. Friendly folks, good spirit, lots of happy waves from passing drivers. The event was preceeded by an hour long demonstration of support for our police chief, who's under attack by local Hispanic activists for his insistance that drivers be properly licensed and insured. A Seattle police officer was shot to death and another officer was wounded late Saturday night while conducting a traffic stop in the city's Central District neighborhood. The officer who died was a veteran of the department, and the woman who was wounded is a student officer in training, Assistant Chief Jim Pugel said
