Then by all means, what is your suggestion?

You seem to be under the mistaken idea that this video and the movement is limited to the United States. It’s not. It’s world wide. The benefit of this video is that a cold-blooded MAD MAN will no longer be able to travel outside of Africa because this awareness is being made world wide. Uganda is only one part of it. The real goal here is awareness. And no one has to pay a dime for that.

Well, Obama is still President, last time I checked, so that takes away our right to criticize ANYONE for having ineffective leadership. And keep in mind, if anything were to happen to Obama, that would leave us with Joe Biden leading the show. The only ones celebrating that would be Comedy Central and Saturday Night Live.

I think this is as much about awareness as anything, and that part is free.

Nobody is suggesting we invade Uganda. He’s probably not in that country any longer. The point is to spread the awareness all over the world so no matter where he goes to try to hide, he will be recognized, seized and brought to trial (or executed).

Is noted in the original article, We DO urge all to vet things on their own... and to share that info as it is uncovered.

Not sure what you mean when you right “As most people know by now... Mr. Kony is no longer a real threat.”

That’s just plain ridiculous. Just because he is out of Uganda and slithered under some rock elsewhere in Africa doesn’t mean he doesn’t pose a threat. He is a mad man ON THE RUN. That probably makes him more dangerous than ever. Talk about checking your FACTS before posting...

I don’t think this is about the name of his army. It’s about what he has done to children for over 20 years. If your house was on fire, would you stop the firemen to first establish if their motive was to put out the fire or roast marshmallows?

This isn’t about lefties or righties. It’s about awareness, and an invitation to those who would like to be part of the solution. That’s OK, I’ll put you down as more interested in the secret agenda and let it go at that.

I agree, but no-one is asking us to “go bankrupt.” This is more about creating awareness, and that part is free. You don’t have to donate to IC to tell the world that there is a madman Africa. Regardless of who spreads awareness, this guy needs to go.

    Two points in response:

1.) The article clearly states we should all vet things ourselves and not depend on others to do so for them.

2.) As noted in a reply to the link you provided: “I think people are ignoring the fact that half of what IC does is create awareness, and that part is free. You don’t have to donate to IC to tell the world that there is a man acting like Hitler in the middle of Africa. Regardless of who spreads awareness, this guy needs to go. Critics are missing the forest for the trees.”

As I mentioned in the post, we must all do our own vetting. I don’t question, for a moment that the movie has its share of fact-stretching, but it doesn’t lessen the horror faced by Jacob and the others.

However this turns out, it still stands that the use of the social media is the most powerful tool out there... for good or evil. It just means that it’s even more necessary than ever to vet everything we see or read.

Not debating? Sounds like you are stating an opinion, annointing it as the truth and don’t wish to have to defend it.

The way our society works is that when crimes are committed, the police respond, NOT the public. That’s what has always separated the United States from 3rd world countries where they employ the “Might Makes Right” scenario... which is exactly what the rioters are trying to inflict upon the locals in the communities they ravage.

To disqualify the police from being part of the solution, would be to cave to the rule of the rioters.

If the police are outnumbered, then it’s time to call in the National Guard. That doesn’t “make the citizens the enemy” as you claim. The enemy is still the rioters. And the required solution is still the same: Stop them at all costs. THEY are breaking down society and the DECENT, LAW ABIDING CITIZENS deserve no less than protection. It’s been done before. And it works.

The one thing you NEVER do is capitulate with law-breakers or you have given up your freedom from intimidation and the looters will only become more emboldened.

I do believe that business owners have a right to defend their stores from looters and I believe that a well-armed proprietor is one who stands a good chance of defending his property. I believe individials should be allowed to arm themselves so they can fight back from home invasions.

But I don’t think you can leave it to locals to be their own vigilante patrols, especially when other law-enforcement is available. Otherwise, that would lead to anarchy.

The previous is MY statement of opinion. I am not annointing it to be the truth and welcome debate.

That’s what I thought when I first saw it, then I saw where it says (at the bottom) that it’s a “True Copy.” I’m not sure what, exactly, that means.

If it’s a newly printed copy, that MIGHT explain the newness and crispness of the paper. But then how did they get the original signatures printed on the new form? I want to believe this is a legitimate document, but there may be some who notice the crispness of this paper which is allgedly 50 years old. Stay tuned... birthers may not be ready to let this go yet.

I disagree. As much as I don’t like Obama or what he stands for, the fact remains the COLB (certificate of live birth) IS legal for establishing his credentials as being a natural born citizen.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Trump has just imploded. He made a big mistake the other day when he announced boldly, “You won’t BELIEVE what my investigators have found!” When a reporter grilled him about that today, Trump had to do the backstroke. He avoided answering the question, and when pushed further, he said he’d answered the question, then ended the press conference.

Trump is dead in the water as a viable candidate. He was caught hyping something he cannot now produce. The American Voter has little regard for someone who’s caught trying to bullshit them like this. His credibility is now, in all likelihood, shot. It will be interesting to see if this negatively affects the ratings of his Apprentice show...

There is NO requirement that EITHER parent be born in the USA.

What do you think all the BORDER BABYS are all about? As long as the baby is Born in the USA (Cue Bruce Springsteen), the CHILD is a natural born citizen. It’s been that way since the Constitution was written.

Sadly, your friend Leo is chasing his tale. He’s not discussing what IS, he’s discussing the way he thinks it should be.

If something isn’t the way you think it should be, then steps need to be taken to develop legislation to change that or, if necessary, modify the Constitution. But it’s always so much easier to simply file a lawsuit, especially if you’re a lawyer.

It doesn’t matter how many parents were born IN or OUTSIDE the United States. All you need to do in order to be considered a natural born citizen is to be Born In the US. Why on earth do you think all these pregnant Mexican women stream into the US during their 9th month? So their children can be born as American Citizens.

The hypathetical story about Bin Laden having a child born here that could grow up and take down the country, while possible, is about as wacky a conspiracy as I’ve heard yet. Well, it WOULDN’T have to be if the MSM would do their job and actually INVESTIGATE (Vet) candidates. The MSM and Barack Hussein Obama may have caught us napping, But I think America has awakened and is far less likely to accept just anyone as a serious candidate at this point. Just ask Donald Trump. Watch how fast his ratings fall now.

    Hey Texas Eagle:

Excellent point about the left wanting him to fail. I mean the satire is obvious and wickedly dead on. I’d love to see Saturday Night Live do a sketch on this whole concept. They could have a ball with this.

As to your comment about me wanting to be the next Sean Hannity... puh-leeeeze, my friend.

I like Hannity, but here’s how I place the conservative talk show hosts in terms of content:

    1. Glenn Beck for doing just incredible research behind the scenes that has helped to expose much of Obama’s secret agenda.

    2. Mark Levin for his blunt honesty and intelligence, given his years of direct experience within the Reagan Administration. He may be a bit shrill on the radio, but his books leave no doubt to his absolute brilliance.

3.) Rush - he’s by far the most entertaining, but what he offers (more than research and bonefide backround facts) is simply an entertaining presentation of conservatism. When it all boils down, there’s very little offered other than his conservative take on things. That said, he does a GREAT job of chronicaling the past actions of liberals for future moments of exposure and ridicule when their hypocrisy overwhelms them. But Beck and Levin have more to offer in the way of in-depth research (Beck) and inside info (Levin).

4.) Hannity comes in as almost an “also ran” in my book. He does little more than repeat over and over and over, because he has little else to say aside from repeating the talking points from the other shows.

One thing about Hannity: He’s provided college kids with what could be a great drinking game:

Every time Hannity uses the term, “Let not your heart be troubled” you have to take a drink.

And every time he uses the phrase “...with great specificity...” you have to take another shot. You’d be drunk before his show is half over.

I tune him in when I’m driving home from work, but not so much for his message (which is so redundant). Rather, I try to predict WHICH of those two expressions he’ll use first.

Would I like to be the next Sean Hannity? No thanks. Not even close (unless I can get the same comp deals at Ruth Chris’ Steak House).

I don’t even want to be the next Rush or Beck or Levin. They are originals. And they excell at what they do. What I write is inspired by current events and there’s BOUND to be overlap amongst those of us who do, given some of the obvious opportunities presented to us almost daily by his Lordship Obama, Pelosi and Reid.

I would never knowingly “steal” someone’s idea and run with it as my own. But the CONCEPT of wondering if the left are racist if they criticize Obama is as obvious a concept as anything out there. It’s a universal idea. What Rush did with it, I have no idea, but I would bet my life that what I did with that concept (the White House Fly and the imaginary phone call between Obama and Janeane Garafalo) is original. RitsOK’s criticism was to accuse me of stealing material from Rush when I hadn’t even listened to his show. Making that kind of accusation of a writer is the most vile accusation you can make, and I rightfully took offense at it.

While we may have both come up with the same CONCEPT, I’m sure we both had a different take on it. To suggest that I could not come up with the same concept would be to suggest that only ONE person can come up with a concept and that dog just won’t hunt. Even David Letterman has a whole staff of writers who all contribute to one Top-10 list.

Put another way, if only ONE person can be credited with coming up with a concept for humor, then everyone should bow down to Robin Williams, because in 5 minutes, he can pretty much cover everything in the world, conceptually...
except that Frank Caliendo sometimes does Robin Williams even better than Robbin Williams...

    Thanks.

Not at all, Rita. If Rush covered it, I’m sure he did a far better job than I. He’s the best at what he does. My only point is that the premise is a very obvious one and you don’t have to be El Rushbo to have thought of it. But now you make me curious. I hope he has a stream of his show on his web site that I can go back and listen to. I’m curious as to his take on this.

As to today’s post, it would have been up sooner, but I wanted to adapt it to the White House Fly concept. Please don’t tell me Rush does THAT too...

Wow, just can’t wait to condemn someone without bothering to check your facts, eh? The fact is, I wrote this piece Monday night which is before Rush covered it (if, as you say, he covered it yesterday). Sorry, but I don’t have the opportunity to listen to Rush during the day. As much as I respect him, he isn’t the only one that can come up with a premise as obvious as this one. I’m sure if you checked Hannity, Beck, Levin and all the other conservative talk shows, they probably all noted the same irony.

Why, I wouldn’t be surprised if even YOU could come up with the premise... oh wait. You don’t write creatively, do you? You just spend your time criticizing the works of others.

Sorry, Antoninus, but who the hell are YOU lecture or judge ME regarding repentance? First of all, I absolutely DO believe in repentance. I’m just not a gullible little dipstick who assumes that just because someone who gets caught committing a horrific crime, he suddenly gets religion and Christ automatically takes over his life.

Tell me: What evidence do you have of any real repentance on the part of Michael Vick? A single statement saying he’s sorry doesn’t hack it. Of course he is going to say that... HE GOT CAUGHT. AND IT COST HIM TENS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS.

It’s not about a sudden development of character, Antoninus. It’s about LACK of it... and his sudden loss of untold millions of dollars.

Did you expect him to say, “I promise not to get caught next time?”

Don’t be so naive, Antonius. He lost TENS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS when he was arrested. And the potential to earn hundreds of millions more in endorsements over the coming years. What do you think the real motivation is for his lawyer-written “mea culpa?” Do you think it was some sort of epiphany over the torture he imposed on ALL his dogs, regardles of whether they won or lost? If you honestly believe THAT’S what it’s about, you have to be one of the most gullible people walking the planet. It’s all about the dead presidents (money), my friend, and the sooner you learn that the better off you will be.

Forgiveness? That’s between Vick and Jesus Christ. Only God knows what’s really in Vick’s heart. As for me, sure... I’ll forgive Vick... just as soon as those dogs who were tortured and killed by him and his goonsquad are able to be resurrected, and live the playful, normal life God intended for them to have.

Notice that now he’s back in the limelight, it’s all about “him” and no more is being mentioned about the dogs he killed. If he was seriosly remorseful, he’d take some of the millions he’s making again and set up an anuity to benefit the Humane Society. He’s not doing that. It’s back to being “Prime Time Superstar.” And it’s all about him again.

In the meantime, I don’t wish any injury on Vick like a previous poster wrote. But I’ll settle for whatever negative Karma comes his way... Like a 350 pound tackle who is a dog lover.

You’re absolutely right. And the problem is, idiots like Philadelphia Eagles fans show just how little class they have when they welcome him with open arms simply because he wins football games. There’s plenty of talented “Michael Vicks” out there who don’t obtain a sick pleasure out of seeing dogs forced into situations where it’s “Maul or BE mauled.” No, the beer-guzzling slobs who worship the Eagles are a bunch of idiots who conveniently look past the behavior of a psychopath as long as he’s scoring touchdowns. At least the other teams (and fans) had the clas to say, “No thanks... not interested.”

And to those who think I’m over-reacting to Vick’s past, do a little homework for once in your lives and study up on psychopaths, their behavior and the fact that there is no known CURE for it. Then take a look at the photos of some of the horrific aftermath of dog fights.

To those of you who DO have standards, please KEEP THEM and DEMAND that same level from the people you look up to as well as celebrities, sports figures and politicians. It’s the ONLY way America will ever be able to raise it’s level of society back to where it once was. There will always be clueless low-lives who admire and “respect” trash like Michael Vick, OJ Simpson and the like. However, the rest of society can (and should) look down upon these scumbags and label them for what they truly are.

    I'll pass.

He may be a great athlete, but he's also (in the opinion of many) a psychopath. And there is ample evidence to suggest that psychopaths are never really "cured" because experts agree there is no way to really treat the illness. Read how America's descent into acceptance of horrific behavior by those lucky enough to be famous, attractive or superb athletes marks what could well be the downfall of our society in general.

Well, Beelz, sorry if my tongue-in-cheek article didn’t float your boat.

I agree with you that content is important. However, if you would take the time to dig a little deeper than ONE article, you’ll find plenty of content on Grand Rants... enough so that we’ve been ranked in the top 1% of all blogs according to stats for the majority of Grant Rants’ existence (We started two years ago in August). Not all articles will appeal to all readers.

Seriously... go to the search window and type in “Alan Speakman” “Stoutcat” or “Gerry Ashley” and you’ll get a list of our posts. Or, type in any subject and our posts with those subjects will come up. I did a 9-part series entitled “The Abject Failure Of The Obama Administration.” You might find that more to your liking.

Another one you might be interested in the article I did on the secret agenda of “Safe School Czar” Kevin Jennings.

Again, sorry if this article didn’t “do it for you.” One man’s floor is another man’s ceiling. And then there’s the bathroom...

    Thanks for the feedback.

Hey, it looks like I totally misread your original post. You have my sincere apology. Mea Culpa!

I read the part where you referenced “anti-abortion” and “pro-freedom” extremists and made the (completely incorrect) assumption you were dumping the blame on those of us who were in that category. I then saw your reference to “truthers” which I’ve only heard in reference to those who feel Barack Obama has never really proven his alleged American birth.

Again, you are right... I mis-read you. Hope you see this apology. More important, I hope you WILL become an EMT. It’s an honorable profession and I am sure you would bring a lot to the table.

Thanks for setting me straight on mis-reading your post.

All it took for Americia to catch on to Barack Obama's real agenda was to learn how to translate Obamish into English. Read the article written by the man who has been translating Obamish for over 2 years on Grand Rants.

Soothesayer: Political Correctness has invaded every aspect of life, but that doesn’t mean you or I have to play that stupid game.

That said, you are implying that there is some sort of conservative controlled input in the writing of the particular training manual you are using.

You have me at a disadvantage as I am not able to see your manual. However, you’re accusing CONSERVATIVES as the ones dictating the standards by which you or I will live or die. That’s laughably naive!

I’m sorry, but when you have someone like Barack Obama and his band of Mao-loving radicals running this country into the ground, you’re going to have a hard time trying to sell your pail of dog-crap to anyone. It is the so-called “Progressive LEFT” that has decided they will tell us all how to live, think, eat and when to taka a crap and what kind of green paper to use to wipe our asses.

So if you really believe that the conservatives are the issue here, you’re probably doing us all a favor by not becomming an EMT. There’s no room in the world of EMT’s for people who can’t think logically for themselves.

While I’m sorry you were the victim of an arsonist, it’s imporatant that we not mis-categorize such a person as a legitimate first responder. Sure he may have had the credentials, but there was obviously something wrong with such a person. My point is that your dad was vicimized by a sick arsonist who happened to also be a first responder. NOT the first responder system itself.

We take it for granted that, in an emergency, someone will risk their lives to save ours. A house fire. A traffic accident in a volatile neighborhood, A stroke... the list goes on. Regardless of the emergency, there are first responders who put their own lives on the line willingly to save yours.

Read about one singer/songwriter who also happens to be a volunteer fireman himself as he begins a North American push to honor ALL the first responders and acknowledges their heroic and unselfish acts. You may never look at an ambulance, police car or fire truck in the same way again.

You got it, man! Some of Eric Burden’s best work was with War. Loved “Spill The Wine!”

    Tell you what, brew:

Go to http://www.ustream.tv/ciscotv and watch them play live.

    2 things:

1.) I’ve been at enough of their shows to know there’s no vocal track used at their concert.

2.) Don’t worry about Hells Angels: I’ve got an Aegis Cruiser aimed at the ass of anyone who spreads false rumors about my buds. Ya feel me? LOL

The “new” bass player you’re referring to is “Skylark.” He’s been with them for over 10 years. Unfortunately, he’s recovering from a stroke. As to the accusation that all the vocals were canned... anyone can make a BS accusation like that. Prove it and you’ve got something worth mentioning. I’ve been to several of their concerts and was lucky enough to attend the sound check at one of them. Nothing was or is faked. Sounds a little like someone didn’t get the autograph he was looking for. Waahhh!
