I know a lot of people on this site are against public schools, and rightly so. I just wanted to share a Charter School that does deserve credit for what they are doing. Basis Charter Schools, http://basisschools.org/ is leading a revolution in the education industry. One of my children will be attending there this year for 5th grade. He just tested into Algebra 1, for 5th grade!! There is no way that a typical public school would allow him to do that. My other child just finished 6th grade. So, who should Newt pick for a Vice President? It's never to early to start lobbying for this. We don't want a "Quayle" pick after all we've been through getting Newt this far. Natural Born Citizen's need only apply.

I think John Kasich would be a great choice for the Newt's VP. The Governor or Ohio, an important swing state and someone that worked on balancing the budget with Newt in Congress. This would also lay the groundwork for a conservative successor to 8 years of Newt. We could have 16 years of conservative leadership to undo all the damage the O did in the last 4 years.

Thompson personally hired Jim Mills, a highly respected Fox News producer, as his press spokesman. Two weeks later, after Thompson hired William Lacy as his campaign manager, Thompson fired Mills. Mills gave up a hefty paycheck at Fox to join the Thompson campaign. He told friends he considered Thompson essential to the future of America. His firing outraged colleagues at Fox.
