This could be the final straw. Chuck Schumer demonstrated in the Senate this week via the Mayorkas impeachment trial that the Dem needs outweigh the Constitution. I have been saying that Matt Gaetz has put control of the House at risk by pushing his sham 'taking control' move to oust Kevin McCarthy at this perilous time. He promised Mike Johnson is the 'horse of a different color.'

I suppose things might have turned out the same with McCarthy but the Repubs of the House might have tried to unite to sustain control. Instead they kicked one Repub out of the House and more of them are now resigning mid term. Obviously the move is on to yield control of the House to Hakeem Jeffries.

What is the prize that makes it vital for Dems to take control of the House before the Nov election? The presidential election! With Donald Trump gaining masterfully in the polls, he stands to take the WH running away.

BUT, the presidential election has to be approved in the House - normally a Constitutional formality. Chuck Schumer demonstrated this week that the Dem Party needs override the Constitution. The GOP is quietly going along with Schumer's seizure of power; if the roles were reversed there is no doubt the Dems would actively fight in disruptive ways to restore 'normal order.'

Why is ALL OF THIS happening? Because the Swamp pro-war cabal is in fear of losing its grip on the American people; the public is refusing to jump on board with the Swamp's proxy war with Russia via Ukraine... a war fully intended to escalate to a full scale U.S. vs Russia (nuclear?) war.

The Voice of the People is the House of Representatives and all coup d'etats need an appearance of being 'normal' and legal.

The Republic is on the verge of collapsing. 😬

Again, I wonder if the Swamp is leading the Speaker down the garden path - with flattery. 🤷

Speaker Mike Johnson has been a complete deflating disappointment! He sends me emails asking me to join his prayer group; what would we pray about❓ Greater weapons to kill more efficiently❓

I posted to him on Truth Social today: WWJD❓ I don't know if they are extorting him or blackmailing him or whether they just keep telling him how great he is, he is kicking the Swamp all over the place... but he is a terrible disappointment.

And does Matt Gaetz get up and apologize for jeopardizing GOP control of the House? Silence... I 'unsubscribed' from his email chain after some years of modest contributions; I told him I suspect he and Johnson might be part of a covert plot to turn control of the House over to Hakeem Jeffries.

That may be about to happen in any case. The next two months may be unsettling.

I had this interchange with Senator Rick Scott over a year ago. He countered that Russia is a lawless bully; I pointed out that Russia has always been a lawless bully, for centuries. Is it worth American $$$ and lives to try to change that❓

I suspect that since then the good Senator has reconsidered his position - ❓ I hope so.

I think I could have written this one myself. And just the other day I encountered one of these war mongers pressing the importance of war with Russia... If we don't stop Russia now it will be Latvia and Lithuania next, then blah blah blah.

Thanks for the Kitco gold and silver charts. Since I do not trade in precious metals (I track trends, loosely), I have not seen a Kitco chart in some time.

Comparing the long term gold to the similar silver chart, it is apparent that silver is more volatile currently. Both have taken a noticeable move upwards recently. I don't know who tends to control the silver market but gold is controlled by the major banks and especially the central banks. I have heard that they are keeping the price of gold artificially low to facilitate their trading in large amounts. I do not know if this is true but it appears to be. When the small trader starts heavily entering the market they likely let the price float more naturally. 🤷

Obviously when gold is bought by the tonne ('wholesale' so to speak) the buyer will pay less than the individual trader buying by the oz.

🙁 Yeah, I know exactly what you mean... we all do: we voted for the lesser of two evils - Obama vs Mitt Romney or John McCain - until even dunderheads like me realized we had been scammed. I remember making excuses for Romney when he was governor of Massachusetts, saying he signed universal health care because that was what the people wanted but he helped to make it workable. Same thing with George W, ignoring his - AND Dick Cheney's - thirst for war. What did I get for that? A bloody war that we won and then surrendered so that now the people we fought got everything they wanted - AFTER thousands of lives were wasted❗ Exactly the same with Vietnam.

I don't share your optimistic view. Many major central banks are buying gold by the tonne - except the U.S. 🙁 Also notice all the ads about selling insurance policies, selling personal assets, reverse mortgaging one's home - AND those commercials all repeat the word 'cash' at least 10 times. Personal credit card debt is skyrocketing!

Someone asked me some time back how such inflation could lead to 'deflation' and a depression... this is how. With so much 'cash' available, people can't get enough of it.
